Yet i maintain that God is the origin of that evolution process, not Darwin.

Darwin observered and documented evidence that lead him to right "On the Origin of Species". Other people were also beginning to make observations and draw conclusions, Charlie was just the first to publish in Britain - then a leading world power - and thus get noticed and talked about.
As others here have said, he didn't cause evolution.
If you're a Theist or a Deist, this is perfectly acceptable... save for the tiny fact that Darwin neither founded nor created what you seem to be considering as "the Church of Evolution".
He merely observed stuff, tried to explain how that may have happened, and turned out to be mostly right on the money.
I have no problem with theistic evolution. Or rather I have no problem with calling whatever process eventually led to your existence god. I don’t see where the worship or blood cults factor in, but if someone wants to show evolution a little reverence that’s cool with me. But for the last time, atheists do not worship Darwin. (even though we can prove at least that he actually existed.)
Little known fact:
Darwin drove his Delorean back in time 3.5 billion years, and rubbed a bunch of amino acids together until they formed a protein.
Then he totally did a wicked peel-out and drove to the year 2200 to have sushi with Cyborg-Bruce Campbell.
Evolution is -awesome-.
Theistic evolution is great (if it's good enough for the Pope and the Archbishop of Canterbury, not to mention Darwin himself, it's good enough for me) but timi can't have met any scientists if he thinks we believe Darwin was an actual force of nature rather than a human being who observed nature.
My only argument with this, is that Darwin simply described the process as he observed it. He never claimed to be the originator of it, or to have invented it. This person is quite entitled to their belief, and I see no indication of them attempting to alter my beliefs. We are each entitled to our own opinions, and I respect the right of this person to have, and to state, theirs.
#833678: MM, I consider somebody who considers evolution to be valid not fundy. He may have a misunderstanding of the theory of evolution, but that in itself is mere ignorance. One of the tenets of religious fundamentalism, especially of the Christian variety (IMO), is the belief in Creationism.
Ignorance does not equate to fundamentalism.
On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life
By Charles Darwin.
Chapter 1.
One day I had me brekfest, then I went owtside and startid evolution.
The end.

And again, the bit about Darwin creating evolution is the fundie part. The rest is irrelevant.
One of the tenets of religious fundamentalism, especially of the Christian variety (IMO), is the belief in Creationism.
One tenet for some brands of fundamentalism, maybe, but hardly the defining aspect. One can believe in evolution and still be fundie.
Ignorance does not equate to fundamentalism.
It does in this case.
OK, so your god originated evolution. A point for him.
Isn't he the same god who originated the devil?
Minus a point.
That whole "Darwin caused evolution" piece comes out of left field, I agree, but compared with almost any other quote on this site, it's pretty... unfundie. Doesn't really feel FUNDY to me.
I actually agree with this guy 100%.
People in general don't seem to get that evolution and creation aren't mutually exclusive.
I believe, like timi, God created life, from which point life began to evolve.
>>aaa
Hmm, Theistic evolution. A rarity now a days. <<
Really? Last I checked, that was the official position of the Roman Catholics.

But that's not what timi said. The second part of the quote is the problem. Based on the wording, he seems to think that someone thinks that _Darwin_ started evolution, which is nonsensical. This quote may not be fundie, but it is certainly not well-written.
Confused?
