LOL @ Hulk
Some are just too easy.
Betcha our anonymous "dirty faggots" whacker wouldn't accept gay marriage, either, but he would undoubtedly enjoy an occasional fling with a homosexual prostitute in that closet of his. (It's soooo obvious!)
aye laddie! Thing is, i know plenty of "true" christians(tm) that support same-sex marriage so um... pr4wn3d
This needs the "No True Scotsman" award
That's a pretty straightforward "No True Scotsman," there.
Of course, nobody - even True Christians (tm) - are required to be happy about gay marriage.
They just have to deal with the fact that making it illegal is a violation of civil rights.
#265990: No, no, no. Get your facts straight, dear. Faggots* cannot die, let alone from AIDS, as they are not alive. You can burn them, to be sure, but dirty ones tend to not be good for that. Granted, it all depends on how dirty said faggots are.
*one of the old senses of the word, in case anyone didn't guess/thought otherwise x.x
They don't have to. Marriage is a secular institution. The religious ceremony isn't worth spit without the license. Even religious ceremony generally end with a statement like " By the power vested in me by the State of Wherever, I now pronounce you man and wife" and for the frosting on the cake, ship's captains and justices of the peace can legally marry people.
"No true christian would accept gay marriage."
No citizen who loves liberty would let religious beliefs override said love to the detriment of his/her fellow citizens.
Anyone who opposes same-sex marriage is acting as an enemy of liberty.
“No true christian would accept gay marriage.”
And the way to tell a ‘true’ cChristain is they agree with you, I suppose?
So, SSM in the US is a secular function. The secular US government has no real basis to discriminate against such individuals. And I believe Jesus directed people to let the government do the government thing, right? Render unto Caesar…? Pay taxes even to support a pgan temple, or whatever else they wanted to do with them?
No one’s really asking if you or your god or your church celebrate the union. Same as we don’t let Catholics decide that Baptists aren’t married if it wasn’t a Catholic wedding. It’s a whole separate issue.
Confused?
