And they propogate the multiculti bullscheiss. African-American, Asian-American, Latin-American, blah blah blah. Every one of those abominations says, "I'm this or that first, and American second."
IMNSHO, if you're so damned proud of your ethnicity that you consider yourself American as an afterthought, then drag your sorry foreign ass back to wherever the hell you claim to be from, because this is AMERICA, and in this country we are Americans FIRS

You know, DoctorDoom, if you actually understood the English language you masturbate to, you'd realize that the first word describes the second. That means that an African-American is an American of African descent. So they ARE putting America first.
Someone's gotta tell this guy that "America" =/= "United States". There's a slew of countries in America he'd do well to remember. If he wants to know which, here's a hint: Everything south of the Río Grande and north of Antarctica, not to mention the snowy thing between the northern US border and the North Pole. Yes, DoctorDoom, Canada does, indeed, exist. DoctorDoom must be part of the huge majority of people in the US who've never had a passport (or need for it).
Damned tootin' , Doc. We're God's favorite people in God's favorite country. We're God-fearin', Satan-smitin', Bible-thumpin', red-white-and-blue patriots. We're six-foot three, blue-eyed, ass-kickin' blonds. And them's just the wimmin folk.
Dude, us Latin Americans aren't those who were Latin and now moved to America (kinda hard, with Latin not being a nationality and all). Latin america is how you call all those spanish and portuguese speaking countries in the American continent(s).
"This should be in RSTDT. Still, disgusting, though."
What is racist about the idea that someone's ethnic, or cultural identity should be subservient to their national identity?
In that case, "Doctor," hie thy raggedy peasant ass back to Europe. Of course, they probably don't want you there, either.

You're right. We DEFINITELY do not want him here. You people can deal with your own hazardous waste, thank you very much. (We have enough of our own, sadly.)
And please, my ancestors were peasants just two generations ago. Lumping this excuse for a human with them is an insult to peasants all over.
Half my family came from Wales. The other half came off the reservation.
And I'm pretty sure a whole bunch of them have a clearer title to being American than you.
I'm kinda proud of all of them. Except for the great-uncle who tried to rob an armored car and got caught while trying to carry away four eighty pound sacks of quarters on foot.
Uncle Slocum was special that way, so we had to cut him a little slack.
In conclusion, you need meds.
Unless you are Native American Doctor Doom, I guess that means you have to leave.PS Oh excuse me, but just what of fir tree are you, pine or spruce?
Law. What kind of law? State Law. Federal Law. Local Law. The subject is law, the first word is used as a title to describe the type of law.
President. What is the greeting? MR. President. Or MADAM President. Being listed second doesn't have anything to do with respect or importance. I guess you'd like our continent to be called "America North"? Brazil is in "America South"? Santa lives at the "Pole North"?
Well it's really no surprise you are mad a foreigners because you type like you’ve never actually seen an English keyboard before. So for your bile-flecked diatribe why don’t you go back to the gulag you used to run and garrot yourself with a piece of barbed wire?
I agree with Ryan, this is a semi-valid point, although DoctorDoom has made it in a profoundly offensive, racist way and made the bigoted assumption that everyone of mixed origin will put ethnicity above citizenship.
The mindset of putting ancestry (or religion, for that matter - take note, fundies!) before current citizenship is why many people emigrate to a country where the standard of living and political freedom is better than where they were, but then disregard laws and customs of the new country where they conflict with preferred ways of living from the old country.
The UK, for example, has significant such problems, like the illegal smuggling of bush meat, forced marriages, etc. In extreme cases, it's what lets such people live with all the comparative benefits and freedoms of an adopted state, then attacking that state in the name of their original state, utterly failing to see the hypocrisy of their actions.
You can't pick and choose which laws to follow based on cultural or religious preference, and you can't get the benefits of living in an enlightened, free society without accepting the responsibilities that go with it.
>.< Praetyre, I'm losing hope for you.
The labels such as "African-American" are not 'putting your ethnicity first.' The first half is a descriptor of one's heritage, not a declaration of national loyalty.
It's a shorter way of saying, "I'm an American, and my ancestors were from <insert country>."
If someone refers to their heritage as "Scots-Irish," they aren't putting more importance on the Scottish side.
Capisce?
As a note of personal irritation, "Latin American" generally refers to people in Central & South America, not Latinos in the US.
NonProphet - sorry, I think I phrased that badly. I was referring to one's sense of attachment to the social customs, and moral or legal standards of one's preceding and extended family members, for reasons of conformity, acceptance, loyalty, personal approval or whatever, which can cause conflict when one is currently a citizen of some other state with differing, possibly opposed, laws, customs and standards.
My history teacher's favorite saying applies here, I think.
"My family's been fighting immigration since we got here."
So what do we call you, DD?
ANOTHER AMERICAN FUCKWIT?
I think of myself as a human earthling before anything else, actually.
So wait, what Doctor Doom is suggesting is that all Americans consider themselves only that- American? Otherwise one is putting America second?
That's absolute nonsense. As #282374 mentioned, it is not "putting your this or that first'. It's a descriptive phrase, e.g.: "I am Asian-American. I am an American citizen, and my family originally came from Asia."
Why is that so offensive?
Incidentally, I do notice that DD only listed examples of non-white people. That's funny, because I know a whole bunch of people who call themselves Irish-American, and Italian-American, etc. I wonder if he is so opposed to them using identifying ethnic words in front of American? Hmm.
I'm Native American and will continue to call myself as such... except now I'm going to do it ON PURPOSE. Just to offend assholes like DoctorDoom. He can try to send me back to "wherever the hell I claim to be from" but he may not have much luck with that :D
More like Lady Liberty first, America second in my opinion.
If America became totalitarian, I would gladly betray my country.
Confused?
