I don't believe in donating your organs, etc to save a life. I might get shot here.. but I think sometimes humans tend to play God. If it is our time to go... then we should go. I know my opinion is probably one that would be classified in left field... but I don't think it is right to donate an eye, heart, lung, kidney, etc... call me selfish... but I came in the world with what God gave me.. and I'm going out with what He gave me.

Idiot. Whether you've a soul or not, your organs are just rotting meat after you're dead. Give them to people who need them, you selfish prick! It's not like you're using them anymore.
Since you're against medical intervention that might save your life following a traumatic car accident, a bout of cancer, or even the flu, you're probably going to die quite young. I'm sure your pristine liver or one of your kidneys could go to someone who actually wants to use them, as opposed to someone who creams his jeans at the thought of the world ending.
That is incredibly selfish. I thought Christians were supposed to yano, give of themselves? What's organ donation but a perfect expression of that?
*is a proud non-Christian organ donor*
Chapter and verse, dickhead.
By your logic, God wouldn't want you to take medicine, clean wounds or help the wounded.
But of course, it's at the point of organ donation that human responsibility ends and the divine will starts.
If Jesus turned a whip on the money changers in the temple, On you, CelticMist, he would turn a machine gun. Ignorant, selfish, arrogant bastard.
Do blood transfusions count? How about bone marrow? Where is the limitation? Okay, how about not using medicine to keep you body 'pure', is that a good idea? Remember, you need to find some common ground here and work out the limit. Don't write stupid comments without at east thinking through the limitations of said comment.
"I don't believe in donating your organs, etc to save a life."
So, if your only child comes down with a horrible organ problem, and the only way to save them would be for you to donate one of yours, you still wouldn't do it?
I mean, afterall, it's his time to go right?
I came in the world with what God gave me.. and I'm going out with what He gave me.
So I guess you don't cut your hair, trim your nails, shave, shed dead skin, pop zits, bleed, have surgery for warts, moles, appendix, tonsils, amputation...
“I don't believe in donating your organs, etc to save a life."
Hope you never need a kidney.
“I might get shot here.. but I think sometimes humans tend to play God.”
God would just heal my missing kidney. We can use the tech we have to save people around us. That’s not godly.
“If it is our time to go... then we should go.”
Just remember that joke where god is suprised that the old guy drowned in the flood. “You didn’t save me!” “What? I sent the neighbor, I sent the cop, I sent the National Guard… You were supposed to be rescued!”
Maybe God sent penicillin. Or transplant surgeries. Or cloning tech.
“I know my opinion is probably one that would be classified in left field...”
No, just pretty self-absorbed.
“but I don't think it is right to donate an eye, heart, lung, kidney, etc... call me selfish...”
Yes.
“but I came in the world with what God gave me.. and I'm going out with what He gave me.”
I have two pieces of cadaverous tissue in my jaw so that my teeth implants don’t fall out.
Confused?
