Quote# 32779

Why are children aborted? The following are reasons given in percentages: 1% - victims of incest or rape, 1% - fetal abnormality, 4% - doctor said that health would worsen if pregnancy continued, 50% - didn't want to be single parent or have problems in current relationship, 60% - could not afford child, 75% - child would interfere with lives, 95% - reasons of convenience: not incest, rape, physical condition of unborn or threatened health of mother.

Wow, you failed math. That adds up to 286%!

Did the inbred hick who compiled these figures count on his disfigured number of toes or something?

Most of those categories are not mutually exclusive.

87% of all statistics are made up on the spot.

I considered that they aren't all mutually exclusive, but even THAT can't account for the discrepancy. Those are just stupid figures.

These people think that women are just having abortions the way they have haircuts. Oh, I'll go in and have one while there's a special. (Vomit)

Ever heard of an ectopic pregnancy, assholes?

While I am pretty sure these percentages are completely taken out of this person's ass, they are possible - that is to say, just because that 75% of the people say that the child would interfere with their life doesn't mean that they weren't raped, their fetus doesn't have abnormalities, they don't have problems in their relationship, etc. The real problem here? That this person thinks that not being able to afford a child is a bad reason to have an abortion. Your right, its much better to be born to a poor mother who has no job and has to give it up to an orphanage where it lives off of taxes and leads a crappy life because it has no money and it won't get a good (if any) education.

When making up percentages, one may ensure they at the very least add up to no more than 100%.

That being said, Pi=3 award fifthed

OK, so *some* categories *could* overlap, but... the first three add to 6% and are not "reasons of convenience", so that's at least 101% right there.

So I'm gonna call Lying For Jeezus on this one. If you're making up crap, at least do it convincingly. (And Mike beat me to the "made up stats" punchline.)

Even if those other reasons were not valid to you, will you punish those with a "valid" reason by removing all abortions?

Lets see that's............286%. Do you morons even bother to double check your bullshit statistics to at least make them look plausible before you post them? Also a blastyocyte or an embryo or a fetus is not a child.

Even if you allow for overlap...yeah, I cannot make it overlap right. 'child would interfere with lives' is a reason of convenience?

Wow, we joke around and all but I had no idea the abortion rate was 286%. That's pretty damn high, I can't even imagine how they're doing it.
