Quote# 36364

I've heard many christians who don't believe the economy is going to collapse. They also believe America is still a great christian nation. They believe things will pick up, their business will start booming again, and all will be well again.

Others, think THIS is it. Things will get much worse, the economy will collapse, the USA will suffer some discomforts they're not used to, and all of this will lead us into THE RAPTURE! They believe Jesus is coming very soon.

Then there's those who think all will bounce back, America will turn back to God, He'll keep blessing us, etc. And in the midst of the wonder of it all, we'll be raptured.

Truthfully, which way do you HOPE it will go?
Which way do you BELIEVE it will go?

As for me, I WANT TO GO HOME! I want the Lord to wrap things up here because I can't stand this worldwide evil abounding! If it means hard times beforehand for me, then His will be done. I'll know that HE is standing at the very door! Maranatha!

"They also believe America is still a great christian nation"

Read your own constitution.

"Things will get much worse, the economy will collapse, the USA will suffer some discomforts they're not used to"

Your country is going down the shitter due in whole to your fundy posterboy Dubya. It can only get better once he is gone.

"I WANT TO GO HOME!"

Why wait? Commit suicide. Come on, all the cool kids are doing it.

I love how Americans "suffering some discomforts" = THE RAPTURE! And I also love how Christians talk about this "worldwide evil", completely oblivious to how they partially contribute to the problems they perceive by resigning to that notion due to the slightest reason, and justifying their hatred of everyone and their willingness to die and incite war based upon that same presupposition. Christianity: darkening our worldviews and calling them virtuous since, well, the Dark Ages.

Well, hurry the hell up! I'm tired of your do-nothing pray to the sky-daddy attitude. You guys are nothing but big f-ing whiners and I'm tired of you all and your weak-assed imaginations. You can at least come up with something cool like a horde of zombies. So go, get your annoying asses raptured already (and I really hope you aren't confusing the word with 'rupture') because I think the world would become a much happier place for us all when we don't have you albatrosses hanging around our necks anymore.

"I've heard many christians who don't believe the economy is going to collapse."

Sounds reasonable.

"They also believe America is still a great christian nation."

Statistically I suppose you could argue it's a "Christian" nation.

"They believe things will pick up, their business will start booming again, and all will be well again."

Why wouldn't they?

"Others, think THIS is it."

Those are the same stupid fuckers that think [i]"THIS is it!!"[/b] every time the wind blows too hard.

"Things will get much worse, the economy will collapse, the USA will suffer some discomforts they're not used to, and all of this will lead us into THE RAPTURE! They believe Jesus is coming very soon."

And they'd be wrong. Again. Just like they always are.

"Then there's those who think all will bounce back, America will turn back to God, He'll keep blessing us, etc. And in the midst of the wonder of it all, we'll be raptured."

And they'd be just as wrong as the other group. There is no Rapture.

"Truthfully, which way do you HOPE it will go?
Which way do you BELIEVE it will go?"

I hope it's true and you nutty bastards will all be whisked away by UFOs pretending to be angels who've come to "take you to heaven" but I'm not holding my breath.

I believe you're all a bunch of lunatics who should be watched closely by specialists in deviant psychological behavior.

"As for me, I WANT TO GO HOME!"

Go for it. Oh, wait, that's right--you guys can't just off yourselves and head on to the Pearly Gates. Shame really.

"I want the Lord to wrap things up here because I can't stand this worldwide evil abounding!"

Yeah, that whole suicide prohibition thing really is a bitch isn't it?

"If it means hard times beforehand for me, then His will be done. I'll know that HE is standing at the very door! Maranatha!"

You people get goofier every day.

Now here's the problem. If the economy picks up again are they going to start intentionally throwing monkey wrenches into the system so Jesus will come back?

Paradox

You know why I hate Rapture Ready? Because everyone there is so fucking ungrateful.

My grandmother just got home from a mission trip to Honduras. She went to teach school for the kids there. These kids live in the city dump, scrounging for meager scraps of food. Glory and her RR buddies whinge and complain about how horrible the world is, about how they can't stand to be in this terrible place any longer, completly oblivious to the fact that they live in opulant luxury compared to billions of people all over the planet.

It pisses me off, it does.

If economic recession lead to the rapture, Wouldn't the rapture of happened in October 1929?

As for me, I WANT TO GO HOME! I want the Lord to wrap things up here because I can't stand this worldwide evil abounding!
Much better to pray to die than to actually do something to make this world a better place.

Oh damn - so close! Care to guess again?

[x] THE RAPTURE.
[o] A period of rebuilding with greater world co-operation.
[o] Anarchy.
[o] WWIII.
[o] Gradual erosion of exclusive dominance.
