(FSTDT + CTSTDT combo)

I agree with Stein. Every natural history museum, every university bio department and every peer-reviewed science journal in the entire world is taking part in a vast conspiracy against the truth. Even religious leaders like Pope John Paul are in on it. We Christians need to speak out against these "scientists". What do they know? Just because they've spent their lives studying rock formations, that doesn't mean they can tell us how? the Grand Canyon was formed.

= everyone is out to get me!

= the entire learned world (or most of it) and the entire religious world (or most of it) has gotten together and decided to deceive EVERYONE.

Just because they spend their lives studying something in great detail doesn't mean they know more than I learned from reading Chick tracts!

"Just because they've spent their lives studying rock formations, that doesn't mean they can tell us how? the Grand Canyon was formed."

Any geologist can explain in excruciating detail how the Grand Canyon was formed.

I know this because I spent two semesters (while pursuing my Biology degree) listening to a brilliant old fart of a Geology professor who spoke exactly like Ben Stein does.

We sane people need to speak out against these "creationists". What do they know? Just because they've spent their lives studying nothing pertaining to the subject matters they discuss, that doesn't mean they can tell us how their arguments make any sense.

One non-sequitur deserves another.

How can scientists be wrong, if faith alone never invented something like, oh, let's say an aqueduct which, for some strange reason, the ancients Greeks had, but in the middle ages everyone forgot. Also interesting, round this time, Christianity started getting real popular.

It seems to me that the amount of Christians is inversely proportional to global knowledge. I'm just saying...

May the farce be with you.

That sounded really sarcastic, especially the last sentence. I'm calling Poe.

Just because they've studied something, they think they know better than someone who's never opened a book in his life?

NO WAY!

(And God said... blessed by the idiot, for he shall be my sucker for all time.)

I call Poe.

Some of his favourites are attacks on fundamentalism, religion in general and the Republicans, and he seems to be a fan of Barack Obama. I'm fairly convinced that there isn't a fundie alive who thinks Obama is the shiznit (aside from his being the Antichrist and bringing forth the Tribulation, etc).

Yeah let's stop listening to those scientists who discovered the cure for polio, got us to the moon, and the technology for the computer we're typing on. No let's get our scientific knowledge from a hack speechwriter for a dishonest President who got himself kicked out of office for dishonesty. You really are stupid fellshat.

Pope John Paul died years ago, you nutcase.

Also how do these nuts always find out about these "conspiracies" if they are so well hidden, you'd think if there was a conspiracy and random people on the internet could find out about them, they wouldn't have lasted very long in the first place.

The old "everybody is conspiring and is wrong but me". Of course, if they happen to say anything that vaguely gives this person right, they're not conspiring any longer.

Right, only someone who reads fairy tales every day can tell us how the grand canyon was formed.

I'd say this is a poe, but how do you explain the random punctuation, very tastefully employed in the last sentence? If it's a poe, he's done his homework.

The new Pope is apparently also in on it. If you can count on anyone to be anti-Christian, its the Pope.
