Well, what DO fundie housewives do when their husbands are out, and they've already finished making dinner, taking care of the kids, and cleaning the house? Besides, they're probably looking at you that way because they can't believe that a girl with potential could waste her time and energy just sitting at home. I mean, come on, you could at least hire tutors or join a trade.

What about girls who don't have fathers? What about girls whose fathers have either passed away or are no longer living with them because her parents are divorced? Besides, it's all a matter of personal preference when it comes to distance. If a girl doesn't want to go that far from home, that's fine. If she wants to move to the other side of the country or even to another country, that's her choice (as long as she and her family are well prepared).

Not all successful people have gone to college, but I think you're missing the point. Yes, it's true that people can find jobs outside of college, but if you go to college, you have a better chance of finding internships and getting jobs of higher pay. Plus, you have a chance to be better educated. Again, there are exceptions to the rule, but to me, it just seems that you want all girls to just stay home and knit, which is despicable.

Help meets, my foot. Women were created as human beings, with the ability to take care of themselves as well as others. They were also equipped with a little thing called free will. They should be prepare themselves to be independent, self-reliant, and intelligent human beings.

Yes, we were happy, because we were all a bunch of emotionally unstable masochists. We LIKED our husbands slapping us around with impunity, cheating on us frequently, treating us like maids and cattle. We LIKED our parents selling us off like slaves and teaching us to be obedient, spineless wimps. We LIKED people patronizing us, treating us like wayward children, shutting us up, and brainwashing us with contradicting notions about men and women. We LIKED that we were supposed to be citizens, yet had no legal rights whatsoever. We LIKED that we were only supposed to have one purpose in life and that if we didn't like that option or tried to be something else, there was something wrong with us. That's why we ran away, had lovers, protested, petitioned, endured ridicule and condemnation, all so that we could maintain that happy lifestyle of blissful ignorance.
