Holy shit. I just feel more and more unwilling to be Christian, even the tiniest bit, because of insane people like this lady... I mean, what sort of ever-loving, compassionate God would kill millions? How would the agony and despair in those countries make them Christian? If anything, it drives people further from God and causes intense agony and despair and suffering. Thousands and thousands of innocent children are dead.
I would never, EVER follow a religion that worships a God that uses wide-spread death and pain to force people to be his "bride". It sounds sadistic and freaky to me. And of course, all the followers are the same way - they use guilt, threats, intimidation, non-stop pestering and downright criminal ways to force themselves on me. It's only Christians that come knocking on my door weekly and giving me pamphlets about God. Of the thousands of religious faiths and sects and cults in the world, only Christians badger me at the mall, at the airport, follow me around in the park when I'm with my toddler.
At my college campus, some creepy guy singled me out because I wore enormous goth boots and had my head partially shaved (surely a sign of demonic posession, *sigh*) and he'd follow me around EVERYWHERE. Mind you he SCARED me, I was 5'5 and 113 pounds and he was like 6'3, 230 lb. He'd talk about God, sure, but he was always there, walking his dog, wherever I went. I mean, I was raised Catholic, I would have STAYED Catholic if not for my initial dive into other faiths following experiences with fundies and their insanity.
WAKE UP, you fucking fundies, it is forceful, disgusting people like you, with your extreme measures, that turn THOUSANDS of people away from God. Christianity is in decline, don't you see? Christian churches are even encouraging their followers to reproduce in some countries. The amount of people volunteering to be priests, nuns, and other servicepeople is also in decline. The stake isn't being driven in between the faith and people because of the actual religion, but rather because of the twisted followers and their hateful interpretations.
UGH!
