Quote# 40187

[One of the world’s last ‘uncontacted Indian’ tribes has been photographed from the air near the Brazil-Peru border]

What about sharing God's word with them? Don't they deserve to at least hear it and make a choice?

Oh, please. Not the last of the unbrainwashed.

That tribe probably has their own mythology they're prefectly happy with.

I saw the pictures they took of them with from the air, and they were firing at the aircraft. They probably thought it was some sort of demon or monster.

6/18/2008 7:34:54 AM

Dude, no-one deserves that.

6/18/2008 7:47:35 AM

No, they don't. Leave them the hell alone.

They're fine without your meddling.

Besides, we all know only the KJV is the real buybull, and I'm willing to bet they don't understand 17th cent English.

NOOOO!!! Leave them alone! Have you learned nothing from history? They don't want you! I hope for humanity's sake that the fundies don't get their paws on this tribe. Please.

6/18/2008 4:31:42 PM

Sure. You go ahead and try it.

6/18/2008 6:36:46 PM

I'm afraid arrow filled missonaries would still succeed in killing the tribe off through disease.

6/18/2008 7:06:55 PM

If your god wanted them saved then why didn't Jesus appear to them instead of just a bunch of goat herders in the middle-east? Why didn't he appear to everyone in the world? Imagine all those souls consigned to the eternal flames just because they had no chance to hear the word.

You god is a prick.

that tribe is probably perfectly happy on their own, no need to bother them with your stupid religious blather, they probably have their own.

6/18/2008 9:11:35 PM

There are some real assholes on that site.

6/18/2008 9:14:48 PM

At first I thought, "Oh my God, we DIDN'T kill some of them!?" Then I saw "South America." Why did you have to dash my hopes like that?

6/18/2008 9:28:52 PM

Again, the "Starvin' Marvin in Space" episode of South Park comes to mind... with the missionaries giving the starving Africans Bibles instead of food...

Jesus H. Christ

I agree with Brenz. You should go chuck some bibles at them. Have the helicopter pilot fly low (within spear range). Everything will be fine. They look quite friendly.

Nothing is certain but death, taxes and christians trying to infect native tribes with poisonous ideas and divinely created diseases.

6/20/2008 9:15:22 PM

I am now officially endorsed by Jesus.

6/23/2008 1:49:05 PM

They deserve to be left alone.

6/23/2008 2:21:11 PM

Only if you agree to sit and listen to their mythology, too.

10/7/2009 2:37:15 PM

NO! Leave them the hell alone! All you will do is kill there culture and kill them with diseases..

when they are ready to contact us they will..

In a word,

You never give a choice. Doctors come in and help the sick, aide workers provide food and assist in shelter, some come to study them and learn their culture,,,,,Then come the missionarys to refuse all these things until you pledge yourselves to THEIR God.

It's documented how missionarys destroy long-term cultures and blackmail them with refusal of recently introduced benefits. Sometimes missionarys are killed years after when the tribe finally has enough of their demands

Better bring a copy of the teaching of the hundreds of other religions so they can make an informed decision on whether they want to follow Yahweh or the FSM.

3/20/2014 3:34:07 PM

Don't you deserve to have someone else force their religion on you? Sharing their god's word with you? Would only be fair...

3/20/2014 4:13:46 PM

Yeah, judging by the weapons in evidence, I don't think they wanna hear it.

Just a hunch here--they know and remember what happened when OTHER tribes were contacted before, and they don't want to go the way they did.

rubber chicken

And judging by the machete and the metal pan, I'd say that this tribe has already been 'contacted', although possibly not by white westerners, so maybe that doesn't count.

Seriously, these guys know about the outside world, they just choose to have minimal contact with it, and good luck to them, I say.
