Quite frankly, these people bore me. They only do this because they get off on the attention. It's like a kid saying bad words just to shock. Actually a lot of people these days are like that in one way or another. The only thing to do is just totally ignore them. Don't respond to them, don't acknowledge, even the news shouldn't cover their silliness. After a few months of that they'll dry up and blow away.

You know, China has long had a cozy relationship with Sudan and was, therefore, in a unique position to pressure the government there to do something about the genocide in Darfur which eventually spilled over into Chad. China did not act, and actually thwarted UN resolutions to try to alleviate the situation because they did not want to strain their economic relationship with Sudan.
So . . .protesting the Beijing Olympics I'm fine with. These ass hats are doing for a stupid reason, though. And it's the Chinese government that should be scorned, not the poor working class folks who bore the brunt of casualties and property loss from the earthquake. If there is in fact a god, Fred Phelps and WBC are in for a really big surprise in the afterlife.

Sometimes I hope the christian duality of heaven and hell is real, the members of the WBC get thrown to hell and I were in a position to see the faces of Phelps and his Cronies when god (or whoever) tells them that in contrast to their own beliefs they don´t ascend to heaven, but get thrown to hell.
This could only be topped if God also confesses to Phelp, that he (i.e. god) is bisexual
And bigoted fundies like Phelps are truely the only people on earth who awake such wishes in me

Those would be the thousands of Christian missionaries that Jehovah called to go to China to spread the word, would they? The very ones that an omniscient God knew would be slaughtered by the Chinese and yet nonetheless sent them there anyway.
I guess Christians have poor pattern recognition skills. You'd have thought after the first few dozen both God and the missionary societies would have figured out that the Chinese didn't want them there. How many missionaries need to be killed before you guys take the hint and stop bothering the Chinese?

Funnily enough there is another press release on their site saying they are in fact going to picket the Olympics!!!
They truly must be nuts...if only all 30(or so) of them go! please please please! the chinese will throw them in a gulag and they'll never be heard from again!
