(comment on the song "I Kissed a Girl" by Katy Perry. For those who haven't heard the song, well it says it all in the title. It's a song performed by a chick about kissing a chick.)
this song is just one more example of gays indoctrinating our youth. I'm so sick of queers and lezzies trying to force there immoral lifestyle down our throats. and to all of you saying "it's just a fun song" WAKE UP! you're supporting the gay agenda because your to much of a sheep and you just want to be 'cool' and fit in instead of thinking for yourselves and telling the cornholers and carpet munchers that enough is enough.

Apparently these bigots really do believe that everyone else secretly thinks just like they do, and only hides it because we're afraid of being shunned.
and wtf is up with this gay agenda shit? Do they honestly think that every homosexual is part of some hive mind, attempting to absorb the rest of us into the collective?
Gay people are... the borg?
I saw her briefly interviewed not too long ago - She has a boyfriend and said the song was inspired by her telling her boyfriend that if one of the women in the magazine she was looking at asked to kiss her she would say yes (it sounded innocent and...frankly, rather dull). She's not gay and she's hardly trying to force a lifestyle she doesn't live on you (she's just trying to make a living with her music and lesbians sell). So, if you're going to yell WAKE UP to people, perhaps you should get your facts straight.
That said, you're a homophobic asshole. Gay people have every right to write about their lives through music and if you don't like it, guess what...You don't have to listen to it and if your children do, so what? It's certainly not going to turn them gay. At "worst" (aka what I consider to be best) maybe they won't grow up thinking it is a HUGE deal how other people live their lives - Enough is enough with your small minded crap already. Get a real hobby or something. You have way too much free time on your hands.
because your to much of a sheep and you just want to be 'cool' and fit in instead of thinking for yourselves
Not unlike fundies and their religions.
Also:
Y-O-U-R
Y-O-U-apostrophe-R-E
They're as different as night and day.
Don't you think that night and day are different?
What's wrong with you?
"your to much of a sheep"
Says the fundie who follows a book that says that itself is true therefor it must be.
Look in the mirror sometime please.
That song is what, 15 years old? And it sucked. I wouldn't call this chick influential or anything. But why is it that every time you hear a gay person talking about an experience they had, or anything personal about themselves, you think they're trying to "convert" you? They don't want your stupid ass, believe me. Oh, and for your information, it is not up to you to tell anyone else what they can and can't do with their own bodies. If the parties are over 18 and no one is getting hurt, then you should butt the fuck out because it's not your job to tell people "enough is enough". How arrogant of you to think that it is.
I can't believe the language some of these Christians use when they start ranting about gays. They seem fascinated with the actual gay sex acts and like to describe them in disgusting detail. They honestly seem to think that being gay means non-stop butt sex and nothing else. It's disturbing how they fixate on it.
Why is it that only people who mindlessly buy into silly conspiracy theories or who have been indoctrinated into fundamentalism use the term "sheep" or the variations thereof?
It takes one to know one, I suppose.
Uh, yeah. I'll remember that the next time I see an ad on Nickelodeon (while I'm watching with my children) for the 'Songs 4 Worship' cd series. Fucking hypocrite.
And for the record:
Jill Sobule wrote a better song by the same title in the early 90s.
"this song is just one more example of gays indoctrinating our youth."
Oh good god. Having a church on every fucking corner is also "one more example of Christians indoctrinating our youth." You guys burn down all your churches and I'm sure the gays will consider not "indoctrinating" the youth of the country.
Idiot.
"I'm so sick of queers and lezzies trying to force there immoral lifestyle down our throats."
I'm so sick of Christians and the religious trying to force there holier-than-thou lifestyle down our throats.
"and to all of you saying "it's just a fun song" WAKE UP! you're supporting the gay agenda because your to much of a sheep and you just want to be 'cool' and fit in instead of thinking for yourselves and telling the cornholers and carpet munchers that enough is enough."
And to all of you saying "it's just a fun time" WAKE UP! you're supporting the Christian agenda because you're to much of a sheep and you just want to be 'cool' and fit in instead of thinking for yourselves and telling the holy rollers and Bible thumpers that enough is enough.
Hey, that's kinda fun. I may start an "anti-Christian agenda" movement...
@Laura & KaylaKaze: "That's...an old song"
That's what I thought, too, but when I went to look it up to find out how old, I found there's a brand new song with the same title by Katy Perry.
Your obsession with indoctrination makes it clear you haven't got a clue.
I think you tried be funny with the cornholers and carpet munchers bit, but you really just proved your ignorance.
You are a brainless moron and hypocrite. Do you know how many commercials I have seen on T.V. that have advertised Christian music? And come on, how often is it that you hear a song on the radio that directly involves a homosexual relationship? The last case I can remember were those songs by T.A.T.U. (and those don't really count that much, because the girls weren't even real lesbians). If anybody is a sheep, it is you and your entire idiotic flock that persists in denying homosexuals civil and social rights.
No one is forcing kids to listen to that song. Did someone come along, put a gun to your head and make you? And what about all the Christian music, the advertisements, the church on every corner? You have no argument, stupid hypocrite.
Hey, if straight men and women can write and perform songs about kissing people of the opposite sex, the gay people should have the right to sing about kissing people of their own gender. And if gay people can't, then neither should the straight people.
Well it does seem to be cool right now to be a hot bi female. Ugly women need not apply. But I've always wondered if there isn't a lot more bisexuals out there who have really just picked a team.
BTW, gays need us breeders, it's the only way they'll get more gays.
Ha! Someone mentioned Jill Sobule's song. I think it's better too, though ymmv obviously.
Oh, and buggie92: fuck yourself.
(Can't edit above post, sorry)
Wait, did I hear the same song the guy is talking about? The one I heard went "I kissed a girl and I liked it/The taste of her cherry chapstick" in the chorus, and I don't remember any other lines.
Actually, if I'm correct, the Bible only says 'If man lies with man as he lies with with women, they have both committed an abomination...' The Bible says nothing about women and lesbians. Women aren't allowed bestiality (but the Bible says nothing about men) and men aren't allowed other men (but it's all free game for woman).
Summed up, your Bible says nothing against lesbians, so you can't even claim that God's on your side. STFU!!
I liked Jill Sobule's song better.
That said, if anyone's doing actual indoctrinating, it's fundies.
Ummm, fuckhead? A lot gay people find this song offensive, as in the context, the kiss is done for attention, which fundie bigots like yourself regularly say about lesbians and gay people in general.

"Fuck your God, bible thumper preaching threats from hymn,"
Note: I do not endorse this particular view as it's clearly on the aggressive. It exists nonetheless.
I fail to see why this didn't even appear on the radar to start with a red alert for even the most moderate and progressive. Thought it was in-your-face enough.
A little Insane Clown Posse or even Bloodhound Gang might give Buggie92 a little perspective.
At least, I'd love to see his posts after that experience.
Confused?
