'God' is responsible for hundreds of thousands, if not millions of deaths. Soldiers fighting to defend freedom is going to be frowned upon by this deity? Really? I thought Yahweh reveled in killing.

Also WW2 is a bad example all around when trying to defend religion. The Allies and the Germans both invoked the Christian God in their war. Many lost faith due to the war, Christians and Jews.

The New York Times headline that ushered Americas entry into the war was "God Is Dead".
Imagine how nuts todays fundies would go on about that!
