Correct. We base this on the law of Conservation of mass and energy.

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry.

*edit* Um, why does it say "6 comments" but only display 2, including my own?

I don't know, Dagger. I am not a Pentecostal and I don't look for signs in things, but perhaps God has decided to intervene and remove some of the more blasphemous comments from this site.

I think its a pretty good presuppition that matter and energy exist and are related. I myself work with matter and energy every day.

Omnipotence isn't as impressive as it used to be.

When you're right you're right. I always assume that matter and energy exist. Otherwise there isn't much point in trying to examine anything, if we suppose that it does in fact not exist..

Clever fundie. Damn him for exposing my conspiracy to base my interpretation of reality on observations of matter and energy.

Scientific theories of the origin of the universe are useless because they require the existance of something before there was anything. That's ridiculous!

Fundamental Christianity's description of the origin of the universe posits that God existed before there was anything, and created it all, whole, in six days. That's awesome!

Tomorrow: People who kill out of absolute conviction that their false religion is actually true are evil! People who kill out of their absolute conviction that Christianity is true are obeying God's will!
