The Great Pyramid is labeled by historians as a man-made structure. This wonder of the world is thought by some to be built by an alien civilization hundreds of thousands of years ago and subsequently populated by nomadic squatters of the ancient near east.
Greek historians of antiquity (Herodotus, Thucydides, etc) helped spread mainstream ideas about the pyramids of Egypt by merging their tradition of inventing myths with facts and material evidence from the neighboring world.
The great pyramid is said to have paranormal properties which are well known by many reputable Egyptologists.
Extraterrestrial purpose hypothesis
Some people speculate that the great pyramid was used as a docking station for alien spacecrafts, as demonstrated by their perfect construction and proximity to freshwater, which aliens might have used as fuel during their human slave collection expeditions. The shape of the pyramid distributes weight perfectly into the Earth, preventing damage to both spacecraft and local flora and fauna. The great pyramid is said to also concentrate microwave radiation of the planet into various spacecraft, refueling their electric and photonuclear storage tanks.
Supposed alien abandonment
It is said that the last known use of the pyramid as a refueling station was around 10,000 BC, when the Akkadian-Sumerian civilization was just starting to form. A possible explanation might be that the quality of humans suffered as a result of a drought and famine caused by a rapid global climate change scientifically dated to this period.

Okay, I'm not an expert on ancient Egypt, but I'm what you might call an enthusiastic layperson. And, in fairness to the raving loonies at TinWiki, I don't think mummies have been found in the Pyramids at Giza. For one thing, the bodies and grave goods were probably moved later because the pyramids turned out to be something of a great big shining beacon for tomb robbers. However, the pyramids do contain burial chambers and sarcophagi, which is a rather odd thing to include in something that's meant to dock spaceships.

I call shenanigans, as I suspect TinWiki's definition of "reputable" differs greatly from mine and everyone else's.

Incidentally, why dock spaceships on big pointy man-made piles of rock? It's hardly as though Egypt wants for big pointy natural rocks, or level stretches of, I dunno, maybe sand to land on? Or were the aliens worried about their paint jobs?

...GODFUCKIT. It's fucking made of fucking rock, you fucking dipshits! It isn't even incredibly special rock, for the most part--no super-special crystallized minerals of whosywhatsitite or anything. (The outside used to be cased with really white polished limestone, but people carted it off over the centuries to build other stuff.)

Look, by far the likeliest explanation is that it was built by ancient Egyptians--William of Occam didn't popularize that razor for nothing. What on earth is so strange or unacceptable about that? I always thought that was kind of awesome, myself--that that is what people could achieve, given a couple of tons of elbow grease and some people who are really good at math.

But hey, what do I know? All I have in my favor is evidence and logic.

I see this hasnt been commented on in a few years... But I have been doing a lot of research and the "Alien Refueling Station" isn't actually as far fetched as some might think....

Facts:
- There were no "Mummies" actually found inside any of the pyramids of Giza.

- The Pyramids actually produced large amounts of energy using the natural resonance of the earth, mixed with various chemicals that were dropped into 2 of the shafts found to enter the "queen's Chamber".

- The queen's chamber was lined with a salt mixture that would ionize the compounds.

- The other 2 shafts were for the release of the energy which appear to just shoot right into the heavens. (or, if there were a spacecraft on top of the pyramid, it could have entered some type of refueling portion of the ship).

- The pyramids were created with stones that were cut by massive saws... Saws were not yet invented for 1000s of years to come.

There are many new facts that have surfaced to make us wonder... Just who created the pyramids and why were they created to produce energy for a civilization without electricity??

I honestly believe it was alien intervention, but now I wonder what the aliens may have used this for.... Refueling station is not out of the question and could be a probable answer.
