Americans have become soft and unfortunately so has the Christian church in America. We have so show some steel on our abs. We need to be bold in our witness, even if it means someone may be offended. If God is for us, who can be against us? Time is running short and many, many souls remain lost. We need to get cracking. We are fighting atheism, mormonism, Islam, Wicca, and a whole host of cults and false religions which make up the primary "ism" known as Satanism. Additionally, we are fighting the emergent church, which can suck Christians in who don't test the spirits and who are too easily given to the whims of the flesh.

See that assumption right there gets you in trouble. God isn't for you. If he even exists, he makes no effort to even acknowledge your existance.

You want us to believe in Jesus? All he has to do is drop off a workable plan for a fusion reactor that is within our technological means and we are all on board. But if he isn't even going to offer evidence that he exists, then he's fairly irrelevant to us then isn't he? There's a thousand other faiths that claim that there are right. Why should we believe in yours?

Well, I can certainly see how a bunch of people who want to follow in Christ's footsteps and teachings are such a threat to the Christian churches.

Heh, you're assuming that God is really on the side of the Christian church. If He exists, I'm not so sure that would be the case. Despite the good that has come out of many Christian churches, much evil has come out of them as well. God might support some Christian churches or perhaps singular Christians, but he may not support all Christians and Christian churches because of how many Christians are just evil people.
