[when asked about pedophilia in the bable]
I don't recall anything about pedophilia.
As for incest, for one, back then there was not the genetic diseases that now are commonplace, which is why we have laws against close marriage nowadays, and two, what else were they supposed to do? Seth didn't have too many choices. It was either his sister or his mom, and I'm sure that even back then doin' your mom was bad.

Yes. Before things are defined by modern medicine, they don't exist. Evil Science!
"...which is why we have laws against close marriage nowadays..."
You didn't really just write "nowadays"? Do you say "anyhoo" too?
"... and two, what else were they supposed to do? Seth didn't have too many choices. It was either his sister or his mom, and I'm sure that even back then doin' your mom was bad."
And thus was born a long line of inbreds that believe this fairy tale. I'm sure it sounded better when the first village idiot told it to explain to his kids why their mother was also their aunt.
back then, genetic desease were considered part of the punishment for the original sin ...
No matter what your excuse is - Incest is and was BAD! (disgusting)
And doin' your sister was somehow holy, just because you don't think it would result in a three-eyed kid? If your entire argument is based on (imaginary) genetic "purity," what's your beef with gay sex/marriage, which won't result in kids?
are you? Why?
Incest apologists
As I understand it, Seth didn't have a sister until he did mom, and then, his sister was his daughter.

Jesus breaking his own mother's hymen
Haha. I never thought of that before. Ain't this a motherfucker.
The point is:
Many cultures had developed and enforced rukes against incestuous relationships and Pedophilia long before your Bible was ever compiled. The most notable exceptions being Royalty who married relatives to keep the bloodline "pure" and I suspect their concept of "pure" was due to religious concepts of specialness.
In the general populace both practices were shunned in most cultures even 3 or 4 thousand years ago.
"I don't recall anything about pedophilia."
This is an iffy one. There is a lot of sex in the bible, and the ages of the parties involved is, to my recollection, not mentioned. I say the bible gets a pass on this one.
"As for incest..."
Abraham married his half sister, and that was well passed the mythical days when there were only a few people on Earth. No pass there.
Confused?
