Quote# 48330

This scares me a whole lot!
Does this indicate that Jacksonville, Fl have much more Obama supporters than McCain? 20,000 people showed up for Obama! Only 3000 for McCain!

Is it common for the Obama rallies to have more people than the McCain rallies? Are there actually MORE left-wing Obama worshipers out there than us smart down-to-earth folks?

I pray that McCain/Palin wins on election day. I am going to be praying every hour of that day...and maybe even biting my nails (haven't done that in years) I can't help it...I saw this article and now I am very worried...and I hate that because I know that worry is opposite of faith.

"Are there actually MORE left-wing Obama worshipers out there than us smart down-to-earth folks? "

It pisses me off how these people think they are intelligent. There are plenty of intelligent conservatives, but these people are not them. It also annoys me how ANYONE could think Obama, a centrist at his most liberal, is a far-left lunatic. The only crazily out there person on this race is Palin.

The really smart, down-to-earth folks are voting for Obama.

Be afraid, little fundy, be very afraid. Bwahahaha!

Yes.

And I've seen your "work" here before, ><>KarateMom<><. It's a huge stretch to include you and smart in the same sentence.

One would think that the Rupture Retards would be excited about the prospect of Obama winning the election. Surely that's A SIGN!™ of the god promised doom and death that they're so anxious for?

If you're so terrified of Obama, maybe you should actually do something useful for your candidate, like campaign for him, instead of engaging in worthless actions like praying and biting your nails. Not that it'll work, regardless. The rest of us citizens have actual brains.

Now, because of your lack of faith, god is going to usher in Obama. That'll teach ya!!

I guess this election will be just another piece of evidence showing that prayers never work, never has and never will.

But let me put it a way a fundie would understand:
"It is God's will and part of His plan, to see Barack Obama as President of USA. Who are you to question God?"

Now I feel dirty..

"...and I hate that because I know that worry is opposite of faith."

Oh KarateMom, that's just something stupid your preacher told you because he could. I bet he followed it up by mumbling "So have faith and don't worry your pretty little head about it." Religious handlers do love their little chuckle-heads so!

Verifiable fact is the opposite of faith.

The pendulum has swung. It's the end of more than a generation of neo-Con domination in your country.

Your imaginary Sky Buddy can't stop it.

I hope Obama wins. I'm sick and tired of Bush and I can not for the life of me understand why anyone would vote for someone who supports a similar idealogy. Do some people wish for a worse society and vote accordingly?

Oh, and don't pray for a certain outcome in a democratic election. Free will, and all that, remember? That means the voters get to decide, and not your god.

ETA: Why do they oppose Obama? After all, they think he's the Antichrist, and surely the rise of the Antichrist will bring the rapture closer? Don't they want the reapture? Interesting, isn't it?

Yes, far more people prefer that Obama be the next President. In fact, Obama will almost undoubtedly be the next President. And you know what? The world will not come to an end. More to the point, KarateMom, you and the other morons at Rapture Ready are going to have to deal with it, because God does not exist and none of you will ever be "raptured."

Suck it up, bitch.

I see old antiChrist Rove is back to his old tricks, playing the fundie rubes for votes. Are these people really that stupid? Do they not remember Rove laughing at the fundies after the 2004 elections and saying "thanks for your votes, but I don't need you anymore"? Do they really think any "smart down-to-earth person with half a brain(I guess that let's out RRers)" would vote to continue the miserably failed GOP policies of the last eight years? And OBAMA WORSHIPPERS????? What a hypocritical pile of BULLSHIT!!! I have NEVER heard a single Obama supporter sound like they worshipped the man! HOWEVER just one visit to your little GOP ass-lick non-Bible cult website and one becomes easily convinced that you people believe Sarah Palin is a minor prophet. What an idiotic joke you people are with your hypocrisy and political lies disguised as religion!!!!

Looks like even the RR folk don't believe the crock about how more people show up to Obama rallies because they're unemployed.

@Empress - that could be why McCain supporters are no-shows - they'd rather just stay home and pray!

Actually I've been wondering the if Obama has a chance, considering the sheer number of McCain/Palin signs I've been seeing around here.

Reading that made me feel a little better. Thanks Karate Mom!

smart down-to-earth folks

Smart people support McCain/Palin's politics? Not likely.

And I wonder if "down-to-earth folks" mean "non-elitist" and "barely literate"?

Best strategy for Obama. Come election day get all these people to stay inside praying for McCain's victory instead of voting. Then watch what happens when Obama wins because pray doesn't win elections, votes do.
