Piltdown Man was a hoax ... uncovered by scientists. If you google "transitional fossils" you'll get 336,000 hits. Species change at a very slow -- you might say evolutionary -- rate. There's no "jumping" involved. What have you been reading, "Dr." Kent Hovind?

Jumping a species barrier is arbitrary as change happens slowly. This is why micro and macro evolution are actually the same thing just in different time relations. The analogy I like the best has to do with pin pointing the moment a person becomes an adult. There is a difference between a child and adult but when exactly is the barrier crossed?

Faked fossils have been debunked, just like faked 'miracles' (I still think if there was a higher being, he/she/it wouldn't play "Where's Waldo?" in a piece of toast, or oil stain). We could give you links and documents to legitimate fossils, and you would just say they were fake, and I have better things to do with my time.

The Piltdown man is not the bulk of discovered fossils. Creationists try to pretend that the half dozen or so frauds to surface over the past century or so of research are a big deal. They f$%#ing aren't.

When I read that story in Genesis, I assumed the livestock acquired the characteristics of the sticks placed near them because God intervened and made it happen; in other words, it was a "miracle", not an experiment that could be repeated.
