Quote# 54388

He has the the makings of the Antichrist, but whether he is in fact that one remains to be seen. However, his rise to prominence and power from utter obscurity is a repeat of the process that resulted in the Third Reich.

So making a success out of your life is evil? You know who else made a rise to prominence from utter obscurity? Pretty much everybody (who is prominent).

12/16/2008 6:58:08 PM

There was another who rose from obscurity to prominance.

What was his name, boys and girls?

Five letter word starting with 'J'.

Massive history fail. Hitler did not even win a majority of the election in Germany in 1932. If I remember correctly, he won around 30% of the popular vote, but because that was the most of any of the numerous parties in Germany at that time, he was appointed to the chancellor's position. He used a fire at the Reichstag to grab emergency powers, which was part of the German constitution. I could go on, but you get the idea.
Funny how a guy who wins a majority or the popular and electoral votes is similar to a guy who wins barely a 1/3 of the votes in his election. Seriously, go read a history book.

You know, Adolph Hitler was a total nazi in real life.

12/16/2008 7:21:25 PM

Fundies should be happy about the antichrist, that means the bible is comming true. In fact, fundies should vote for someone if they think he could be the antichrist. God's will you know

12/16/2008 7:21:38 PM

The L

Any time anybody rises to power from obscurity, you idiots think it's a repeat of the Third Reich.

Godwin's Law, anyone?

12/16/2008 7:22:00 PM

Look, Doom, we know you hate niggers. Now shut the fuck up.

8 years as an Illinois State Senator. U.S. Senator. Keynote speaker at the 04 Democratic National Convention.

I wouldn't call that "obscurity".

12/16/2008 7:36:34 PM

a mind far far away

If you don't have a logical argument agaisnt those you hate, Godwin it. Because then it'll all make sense (but only to fundies).

12/16/2008 7:38:26 PM

Old Viking

This makes perfect sense at Free Conservatives.

12/16/2008 7:39:53 PM

"He's probably not the Antichrist, he's just a lot like Hitler."

Let's all "defend" DoctorDoom next!

12/16/2008 7:40:56 PM

Hey Doctor Dumb, Obama is far from the first President to rise from virtual obscurity, Abe Lincoln comes to mind along with others...

12/16/2008 7:42:56 PM

Godwin notwithstanding, you're just plain wrong.

12/16/2008 8:24:09 PM

DoctorDoom has the deep knowledge of history and current events I've come to expect from those retarded fundie morons on Free Conservatives.

12/16/2008 8:35:46 PM

Ah, like a good Freeper, he can't stand a little guy climbing to the top, preferring the crown being passed from one rich well connected white guy to another.

12/16/2008 9:10:40 PM

When can we expect "My Struggle": by Barack Obama, to hit store shelves?

12/16/2008 9:25:54 PM

Porky Pine

Wow! Straight to the Godwin!

12/16/2008 9:37:46 PM

In recent times, most of our presidents, with the exception of Ronald Reagan, who was already well-known as an actor, have "risen from obscurity" to power.

12/16/2008 9:44:33 PM

Didn't the Christians at the time think that Hitler was the antichrist? How many times do they get to guess before they STFU?

12/16/2008 10:05:35 PM

The anti-christ bullshit proves you haven't read the Bible, Doom. Obama fits NONE of the criterion. As far as rising from obscurity, after seeing sonnyboy Bush fuck up everything(and ignore totally what his father warned him about Reaganomics and Iraq) I can't see how being obscure is a bad thing!
