("Obama")
He has the the makings of the Antichrist, but whether he is in fact that one remains to be seen. However, his rise to prominence and power from utter obscurity is a repeat of the process that resulted in the Third Reich.

There was another who rose from obscurity to prominance.
What was his name, boys and girls?
Hint:
Five letter word starting with 'J'.
Massive history fail. Hitler did not even win a majority of the election in Germany in 1932. If I remember correctly, he won around 30% of the popular vote, but because that was the most of any of the numerous parties in Germany at that time, he was appointed to the chancellor's position. He used a fire at the Reichstag to grab emergency powers, which was part of the German constitution. I could go on, but you get the idea.
Funny how a guy who wins a majority or the popular and electoral votes is similar to a guy who wins barely a 1/3 of the votes in his election. Seriously, go read a history book.
Ah, like a good Freeper, he can't stand a little guy climbing to the top, preferring the crown being passed from one rich well connected white guy to another.
In recent times, most of our presidents, with the exception of Ronald Reagan, who was already well-known as an actor, have "risen from obscurity" to power.
The anti-christ bullshit proves you haven't read the Bible, Doom. Obama fits NONE of the criterion. As far as rising from obscurity, after seeing sonnyboy Bush fuck up everything(and ignore totally what his father warned him about Reaganomics and Iraq) I can't see how being obscure is a bad thing!
Well, WMUATimothy already gave some infos about Hitlers coming to power.
You could rather compare Bushs handling of 9/11 (Patriot act and Bushs wars against Afghanistan and Iraq) to Hitlers handling of the Fire in the Reichstag. In contrast to this there is nothing that lets you compare Obama to Hitler (unless, of course, one is a christian fundamentalist who feverishly wants to believe that Obama is a new Hitler or Antichrist and therefore uses even the most far fetched comparisons to links those two)
So are you suggesting that we only allow people who have been famous since birth achieve political office? Because pretty much everyone starts from obscurity, unless their parents are famous. And frankly, I don't think we could trust President Dweezil Zappa.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
