But wouldn't it be easier to find Jesus, crucify him again in lab conditions and watch to see if he actually resurrects?

Much easier than finding a creature that died out tens of millions of years ago and gentically modifying it several million times in succession.

Oh and please try to understand the underlying concept of the word prehistoric.
