Quote# 5625

i[t']s basically saying that to give gays the same benefits and status as heterosexual marriages is tantamount to giving something of what you earned to another who didn't rightfully earn it.

Robbie

And what exactly did you do to earn your marital "status"?

Not a mother fucking thing, so shut your God damn head hole.

So what do heterosexuals do that gays don't do to earn the benefits of marriage? And how is letting gay couples marry giving some of that away?

Betcher ass, donald. I worked hard for YEARS to get myself born straight!

Whoever

Marriage is a status symbol now? It's "earned"? *headdesk*

I like your suggestion that the right to marry should be earned (apparently by stereotyped groups rather than individuals) it's a cool idea. Just one question, have you ever put together protests, printed up signs and then stood holding them for hours at a time on a freezing cold day just to get your right to marry ??? No ??? ooooooh, I know some people who have. Looks like the heteros have a bit of work to do before we can give them the same rights as those who've really earned it.

Except marriage rights don't cost anything, and rights are not something that are bought.

How do you "earn" the right to marry? How do celebrities, for that matter, earn the right to marry when most of their marriages don't last more than a year? My parents got married because they loved each other, obtained a license, and were married in the church, but I wouldn't really say they "earned" it. Homosexuals could do the same things they did, if you lunatics left them alone.

Feminazi

You don't earn the right to love somebody.

Detrs

And just what did you do to earn being able to marry?

"....giving something of what you earned to another who didn't rightfully earn it. "

Yeah, it's called "sharing", you selfish asshole, and most kids learn it by kindergarten.

How about these words?

"I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you came to visit me."

Care to explain where the "rightfully earned" part is in the above words? I don't see "because I earned it" in there anywhere.

Gads, some Christians are the most selfish, self-centered, greedy pricks that ever walked the face of the earth.

GigaGuess

Oh this is rich.

What, pray tell, did YOU do to earn it?

Fuck, if anything, we're fighting tooth and nail for each right we have. YOU fuckers are the ones that shouldn't have them, by your own logic.

9/11/2008 3:59:48 PM

Elia

Wait, you're supposed to earn rights now?

9/11/2008 7:44:26 PM

I wonder, why do heterosexuals to earn their status. To be born?, like everybody.

SpaceWhaleSpacePetunias

Except that giving rights doesn't make you lose rights.

Is there only a limited amount of 'Marriage' to go round ? Are you worried that gays will use up all of the 'Marriage' and there won't be any left for you ?

4/15/2014 9:33:16 AM

Dr. Shrinker

Actually, its claiming something from those who had no right to hoard what is being claimed and lose absolutely nothing by sharing what they have.

Hope that makes it clear.

It takes nothing away from you. If you are heterosexual then none of those people were available for you in the first place.
