I like your suggestion that the right to marry should be earned (apparently by stereotyped groups rather than individuals) it's a cool idea. Just one question, have you ever put together protests, printed up signs and then stood holding them for hours at a time on a freezing cold day just to get your right to marry ??? No ??? ooooooh, I know some people who have. Looks like the heteros have a bit of work to do before we can give them the same rights as those who've really earned it.
How do you "earn" the right to marry? How do celebrities, for that matter, earn the right to marry when most of their marriages don't last more than a year? My parents got married because they loved each other, obtained a license, and were married in the church, but I wouldn't really say they "earned" it. Homosexuals could do the same things they did, if you lunatics left them alone.
