Quote# 58

So, NR, are you having fun with these braindead Darwinian religionists? If the fools want to believe that their ancestors were slime, what the hell? They know their family trees better than we do.

The fact that their "science" is right out of Hollywood B-movies never affected them before, and it won't now. I gave up on the ETBs several months ago. It was like trying to hold a discussion with a flock of parrots. They are mantra-chanting dogmatists, and they are immune to logic and reason.

Their "science" is doomed despite their use of the law and the courts to silence its critics and to force the schools to indoctrinate students in their pseudoscientific piffle. REAL science will be their undoing. The fanciful myths of a 19th-century atheist's brainfart cannot forever prevail.

Good luck with the fools, dude.

The entire thread this is lifted from is hilarious, too!

I have a vague memory of this thread, I think I may have been involved in it but can't seem to access it from this link so I can't check. If anyone else can and sees either a Whipple or Gryphonboy then that's me.

Yes I'm a Freecer Troll.

Actually, this thread was in the old Evo vs Cre forum which no longer can be accessed. Those pussies got tired of getting thrashed by people with common sense and reasoning skills so they shut it down. Now, all evolution debates are in the flame wars section.

Sounds like it isn't the darwinists that aren't the brain dead ones, when compared to you at least.

Now, if I've understood my history correctly, the earliest recorded scientist - what we would consider a scientist, at any rate - was Thales of Miletus around 585 BCE (BC if you must), who argued that natural phenomena were not - repeat NOT - caused by any gods but by dynamic natural forces.

Fast forward to today... oh, what do I choose? The discovery of Gliese 581c? The recent UK trials of gene therapy to repair the retina of a Leber's congenital amaurosis sufferer? The latest design in 'green' housing at Milton Keynes?

I make that 2,592 years of science and counting (quietly ignoring the Dark Ages when Xianity reduced the 'civilised' world to a pitiful, fearful and ignorant mass of stinking, disease-ridden humanity). I personally enjoy the benefits of 'science' - the computer I'm working at, the low energy light-bulb above me, the interferon and ribavirin courses of medication that brought my husband's Hep C under control (if not quite cure it. Maybe the next round of hepatitis drugs, about four years down the line according to the consultants, will work the cure...)

So I'm most intrigued as to how this rather silly little boy thinks \"science\" is \"doomed\". What exactly does he think is 'REAL' science if not the foregoing? I can only assume his rant is bluff and bluster, a somewhat desperate attempt to bolster a failing 'faith'.

Sad really, and a terrible waste of life.

I'll stick with reality - it's a great deal more useful, beneficial, and enjoyable.

B-movie science? You want B-movie science, how about the Star Trek Voyager episode \"Threshhold\", an episode so bad that it stands as the only Trek episode ever decanonized.

Evolution is pretty sensible if you think about it. Problem is that fundies just don't think.

Darwin was not an atheist. Do your research and maybe people will take you seriously.

"Our science" is much, much older than Hollywood, stupid.

I would think *anyone* would know their own family tree better than you do, Doomers.

Justanotheratheist

It seems that we also know your family tree better than you do.

Now I have to go and replace my irony meter yet again. That bit about mantra-chanting dogmatists who are immune to logic and reason completely fried the old one.

Oh, it's Doom, That's why it reads sensibly. The Doctor likes to be precise when he bullshits.

I didn't devine him as a troll but after he got called that I got what a troll was.

But what is Victors ultimate goal here? I know he's a Latvarian Republican (oops sorry, King, well, same difference) but how does making America more stupid work in his plans,,,,,oh,,wait.

Never mind.

If you believe that evolution is no more than B-movie science fiction, then it is you, my friend, whose understanding of science is no better than that of Hollywood B-movies.

Now shut the fuck up, you insufferably stupid fuckstick.

Reading this in 2013 makes me laugh.
