All those hetero divorces have got to be a blow to the marriage is for men and women only movement.
2/11/2009 4:53:43 PM
But men and women divorcing doesn't count?
2/11/2009 4:56:01 PM
And BTW, queer "marriage" is NOT legal in Massholechusetts...
Except that it is, fuckface.
2/11/2009 4:56:44 PM
Ah, free cons. These guys are this idiotic all the time. Maybe they are compensating for their impotence.
2/11/2009 5:15:38 PM
This has what to do with anything?
Also, saying "Pay, bitches, pay" does not make you sound like a pimp. Especially when talking about lesbians.
2/11/2009 5:25:27 PM
And there's no such thing as heterosexual divorce.
2/11/2009 5:34:24 PM
That's GOT to be a blow to the fag movement.
Yeah, a couple getting a divorce means that every similar couple has no chance. On that note, hope YOU don't plan on getting married, what with that nasty 50% divorce rate, honey...
Damn, nasty. I was thinking they could have saved a lot of money by staying single or homo style partners. Now they have to pay to git ur shit and git.
Of course it would be easier. Most people paying alimony right now would agree. So on this basis, let's just abolish marriage altogether.
There is irony, and it is most welcome. Pay bitches pay. Maybe the faggot judges in Massholetwoshits could be made to pay for the divorce. They caused it.
No, two people falling out of love caused it. It's no more complicated than any other divorce.
From day 1, the Goodridge case was a judicial travesty. And BTW, queer "marriage" is NOT legal in Massholechusetts, the "Gay" State. Ergo the two dykes cannot be divorced.
So...first you don't want us to get married, then you bar us from dissolving the relationship when it falls apart? Huh?
2/11/2009 5:47:03 PM
"And there's no such thing as heterosexual divorce. "
Exactly, why any day now this fat bastard is gonna get the fuck out of my moms house and my real dad will come back. Any day now...
2/11/2009 5:47:41 PM
@ GigaGuess: Good point, and what if they're divorcing because, say, one got "saved" and decided she wanted to try being ex-lesbian? Wouldn't they want it dead easy for them to cut ties then? (There's a vicious custody battle regarding a similar issue going on in Virginia and Vermont.)
As for the OP, I'd be surprised if any of these charmers ever got married. If they did, I would *not* be surprised to learn that they are divorced.
And no, it's not a blow to our movement. I just feel very sad for the Goodridges. Ironically, some couples have gotten too distracted by the fight for marriage rights to remember the people they're fighting *for*. And sometimes high-profile couples get to feeling pressured to act like they're in love when they no longer are. The Goodridges probably did precisely because of people like this.

[That's GOT to be a blow to the fag movement.]
[...There is irony, and it is most welcome. Pay bitches pay.]
You guys were livid when they got married in the first place, and now that they're getting divorced, you want them to suffer more.
This isn't about gay marriage at all, is it?
[Maybe the faggot judges in Massholetwoshits could be made to pay for the divorce. They caused it.]

Oh noez! Something about gays popped up in the news! I must immediately make a post on the internet that criticizes the hell out of it even though I personally wouldn't care what people do in their private lives, but I'm a religious fundamentalist so I'M RIGHT, THEY ARE WRONG AND IT'S MY GOD GIVEN RIGHT TO CARE!!! *deep breath* Wait a sec... That's kinda strange isn't it, when giving it some thought? Uh wait, such thoughts are too radical, I must pray for forgiveness at once!
* bends over *
2/11/2009 6:20:53 PM
What evil shits the fundies are..
2/11/2009 6:23:56 PM
Surely this is the entire point of homosexual marriage? Had their partnership not been legally recognised, they now would have no legal support to fairly and impartially manage their breakup.
2/11/2009 6:25:27 PM
Oh, absolutely. It just seems like any time we bring something up, their reaction is just a kneejerk ranting and raving like lunatics.

Atheist In A Foxhole
Bitter, spiteful, hate-filled, evil people.
Should your Jesus exist, he wouldnt recognise you.
2/11/2009 6:35:26 PM
Maybe I'm naive, but sometimes I find it amazing that one individual could contain so much hate.
2/11/2009 6:38:15 PM
"That's GOT to be a blow to the fag movement. " Says the voice from the closet.
2/11/2009 6:49:10 PM
1) Yes, amazingly, even gay people can have divorces [/sarcasm]
2) Speaking as a Massachusetts resident, I can safely say that, yes, Same-Sex Marriage is, in fact, legal in out state.
2/11/2009 6:56:55 PM
Christ, the spelling mistakes in this hurt my eyes (and i know its on purpose... still. Ouch)
2/11/2009 7:08:12 PM
Because straight couples never divorce, amirite?
2/11/2009 7:53:50 PM
Percy Q. Shun
Stop pretending you're not gay.
It makes you look like you're an idiot.
2/11/2009 8:34:32 PM
Oh noes!! A marriage ending in divorce. That's practically unheard of. Stop the press!!
2/11/2009 9:26:20 PM
Allegory for Jesus
"Massholechusetts". How clever!
I have no idea what the relevance of this couple getting divorced is, when, you know, they were rallying for other people's right to marry as well as their own. It's not like they were lobbying for special privileges and then all of a sudden we needed to make it apply for everyone else as an afterthought. Their individual marriage has no bearing on 1. whether they should've been allowed to marry to begin with and 2. on all of the other marriages that still live on. I know...it's hard for you to fathom when you are trying so damn hard to say "told ya so" that you don't realize that one divorce isn't that relevant in light of the huge number of divorces undergone by straight couples (in shorter time spans, too).
And I have no idea what DD is going on about, but there is indeed gay marriage in Massachusetts, and, if not, then they wouldn't need to get divorced and every other comment on there would be moot.
2/11/2009 9:27:34 PM
So, straight people are forever bound by marriage? Someone needs to tell my parents that...
2/11/2009 9:35:22 PM
"That's GOT to be a blow to the fag movement."
I'm confused, what does a gay couple divorcing have to do with the British idiom for cigarettes?
