"In spite of religion"? You make it sound as if irreligious people should be dead, yet somehow these atheists persist. Atheism and homosexuality are not interrelated there are gay atheist, gay christians, gay jews, gay muslims, gay buddhists, etc. A persons sexual orientation does not determine their religion.
The only reason that there tend to be more gay atheists than gay christians is because your religion has told them that they are inherently evil and are an abomination in the eyes of the "god" you claim created them that way, and then you demand that they either pretend to be someone they are not and conform to they way you say they should live, or you run them out of your churches and alienate them from your "loving christian community". From there they eventually come to realize that either your "god" created them for the express purpose of sending them to hell, or that quite possibly the whole circus is complete bollocks.
But you know what's really difficult? Being a straight, Christian, white male, who has consentual missionary position sex with his wife.
Sure. Try living a little, it's likely your only chance. You can't honestly be presenting yourself as an oppressed minority when you are the spitting image of the majority of the people who run the country. Either you have a very well developed sense of irony, or your throwing a temper tantrum that would put a two year old to shame.

Oh yes, being part of the highest paid, most politically represented, and most privileged group on the planet must be so hard on you.
The problems that white, straight, Christian males face are largely superficial. Yeah, it sucks that it's politically correct to make fun of men, or white people, or Christians, but you're kidding yourself if you think that your life is somehow more difficult than life is for blacks, homosexuals and other minorities. Truth be told, the same is true for white atheists as well. We deal with more verbal abuse than you do, but I'd say that homosexuals and blacks have it much worse than any atheist does, let alone a white Christian.

I think you are confusing "difficult" with "boring."
Speaking as a white LGBT atheist with a black best friend, I think gay atheists have it worst--almost all civilized people today reject racism, but many are openly homophobic and/or transphobic, and many more anti-atheistic. There was a poll conducted recently that determined that less than 50% of Americans would be willing to vote for an otherwise qualified atheist candidate for president; no other minority polled under 70%, not even gays.
