Quote# 60287

A senior Vatican cleric has defended the excommunication in Brazil of the mother and doctors of a young girl who had an abortion with their help.

The nine-year-old had conceived twins after alleged abuse by her stepfather.

Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re told Italian paper La Stampa that the twins "had the right to live" and attacks on Brazil's Catholic Church were unfair.

But the little girl didn't. You know, because she's not a fetus anymore. That makes a lot of fucking sense you assholes.

"He is also suspected of abusing the girl's physically handicapped 14-year-old sister."
And they still don't excommunicate the sicko?

I hate them! Every fucking fundie on the planet, my own family included, can just die. *growls* I asked the fundies I'm related to what they'd do if this happened to one of my daughters. The sickos said they'd rather my daughters die than go to hell because they had an abortion. At least they're consistant with their heartlessness.

I have a suggestion. Anti-abortion fanatics should be allowed to stop abortions. Let 'em intervene at anytime - provided that they themselves volunteer to be "aborted" instead.

So, Cardinal Buttfucker, you want to make the girl have her incest kids? Fine. Sign right here. And tomorrow morning you and your best buddy report to the firing squad in their place.

That should stop the self-righteous bullshit in about 30 seconds.

That's why Catholic priests prefer to have sex with young boys; the pregnancy problem doesn't arise.

Are the fetuses victims too? Perhaps. Perhaps not. I don't know when life truly begins. But why not punish the sicko responsible for it all? THE STEPFATHER.

so you'd rather all three of them die from medical complications than just two.

actually they would when I think about it. that's "natural" death.

"And they still don't excommunicate the sicko?"
They arrested him and charged him with the abuse of the girl, but the article doesn't say anything about excommunication or on what the sentence would be if he's found guilty.

I almost won't be surprised if he isn't excommunicated because he can repent for his sins of abusing and impregnating a nine-year-old girl. Because remember folks, it doesn't matter what harm you do to other people in life so long as you repent afterwards and say you're sorry!

"Life? What 'right' to life has a man who is drowning in the Pacific? The ocean will not hearken to his cries. What 'right' to life has a man who must die to save his children? If he chooses to save his own life, does he do so as a matter of 'right'? If two men are starving and cannibalism is the only alternative to death, which man's right is 'unalienable'? And is it 'right'?"

Thank you for showing us that you ONLY care about fetuses and not about humans.

Pro-life is only until the fetus is born, then you change to pro-death. Morons!

and 9 year old girls have the right to not be impregnated by abusive people. I think the rights of people who can think and talk trump the rights of collections of cells that lack a nervous system.

I was reading where he said that while what happened to the 9 year old girl is horrible, abortion is even worst because it "terminates" an innocent life. Uh huh, was it not said that the girl could die if she carried to full-term?

My stomach turns.

The Catholic Church is once again supporting pedophilia and further victimising the innocent. If it's good enough for their clery, it's obviously good enough for their parishoners to be abusing children.

They are morally bankrupt.
