Mardi Gras is just a party before the Catholic Church makes your life a depressed mess for 40 days making you give up something you enjoy. And for what? I don't blame people for coming up with Mardi Gras, humans weren't meant to live sad and somber, and sacrafice for something or someone we aren't even sure exists. I think we are all supposed to be happy and enjoy our lives.
Stop with the gay thing. I feel like I'm repeating myself but my state has legalized marriage for gays and we are fine here. If there is a god I think he/she is rather pleased with us.
Tell your Aunt Bertha to take off her horrible looking dress at Mardi Gras and maybe she will get some beads :)

I was there - it was fabulous.
A lot of straight folks were there too, celebrating with teh geyz without any fear of catching teh gey.
Goodness even the surf life savers were part of the parade and as far as I know most of them are straight.
To my knowledge none of the straights got infected or were made do anything they didn't want to do.

Um, what's particularly wrong with that, since your phrasing implies we're talking about the dress (which won't cause any noteworthy problems by looking hideous) as opposed to Aunt Bertha (who might, for instance, be overweight, which could lead to health problems)?
