I like the way this guy is obviously worshipping the Bible rather then the deity presented therein.

I have long suspected that bible worship is the most common form of idolatry in the U.S.

"newfangled idears"? You realize that you are not helping the image of the South by typing like that, right? I mean, common...

If this is a Poe, it's a very dedicated Poe as Campbell34 makes about 7 posts per day.
Still feels kind of Poe-ish though, and if nothing else a theist trolling the Religion & Philosophy forum.

"A bone here, a fragment there, and the next thing we have, is a whole new story of how man evoloved."
Yeah, don't you wish you were bright enough to figure things out without everything written out for you in Elizabethan English.

It's obvious the Bible knew long ago that some in science would try to pass off ideas that would attempt to show the Bible to be false, when in fact, it was the science that is false.
Gee, a text used to control the masses warning that others may point out that it's wrong, telling the believers that they will come, and to cover their ears, and scream "LALALALALALAICANNOTHEARYOU!" Yeah, that's gotta be prophetic or somethin'.
Mostly "Or somethin'."

Ahhhh, I thought it was probably somethign like that. Thanks for clarifying. (I thought that googling would probably just bring up lots of Edgar Allen.)

If this isn't Poe, then is this is certainly an example of the downside risk in Obama's plan to expand broadband internet access.
Ah well, ah still thinks it's a good idear.

At some point in the future, someone will say I am wrong.
Next time that happens, I expect you to give me as much credence as you've given the Bible, since I too clearly have infallible predictions of the future.
What's wrong? Get on with the praise and worship already.

Ah! The bible. A work of fiction; a book compiled from the plagiarised texts of ancient religions by bronze age sheep herders; translated from Aramaic, Hebrew and Greek texts to Latin and edited by the Catholic Church, translated into English and re-edited by the Church of England as instructed by King James to conform with his views, and interpreted to suit whatever claim is being made regarding its authenticity.

I'm not entirely convinced you're real, but if you are, consider that the Bible has a few pages (only a bit more than a thousand if you're trying to claim it's the whole thing), where science has museums full of physical objects, libraries full of papers describing experiments and observations, and an established process for testing and refining theories. Open your eyes and look at the evidence yourself instead of listening to some other ignorant hick for once.

Of course the Bible is going to tell you there are people who will tell it's bullshit. That's the first thing you do when you sell people bullshit.
