1) Evolution does not care what you WISH you could do.
2) They can, just not in human languages.
3) See 1.
4) Actually we evolved the other way... for good reason.
5) See 1.
6) See 1.
7) See 1.
8) We can eat a ton of food without cooking. Including meat. It's just *healthier* to eat it cooked.
9) Er.. they can.
10) Beauty is subjective, for all you know - they can.

7/11/2009 11:34:31 PM

1)we can. or have you never seen an airplane?
3)we do. it's called RADAR (d'uh)
4)we do have fur. it's mostly vestigial, though...
5)we can. it's called infrared sensors
8)we can. preference != necessity
9)they can
10) maybe they can?

massive evolution fail. the point of evolution isn't to make everything the same, FFS

1. Evolution doesn't work that way, specific changes are uncontrolled and Homo sapiens didn't need to fly to survive.
2. Animals do communicate in their own way... and we are animals also, btw.
3. Bats have SONARS, dumbass, and see 1.
4. Oh people have plenty of fur, just vestigial, but it's still there. And in the right climatic conditions, we could probably live without clothes too.
5. See 1.
6. See 1.
7. See 1.
8. People CAN eat their food uncooked, never heard of tartar meat? Also fruits and many vegetables are eaten pretty much raw.
9. Animals DO think, just not exactly like us.
10. Define beauty. How do you know they can't?

Mike Sihl

1. Why do you think we would be able to fly?
2. What do you think those vocal sounds your pets make are? Oh that's right! Only English (the Lord's langauge) is the only form of communication of earth. Skeeter and Billy Ray told you so.
3. Again, why do you think that?
4. Our ancestors did have fur but we evolved beyond the need for it. That's what evolution is, duh!!!
5. We do partially possess that ability. Don't believe me? Go into a dark room. Turn the light on for a few minutes, then turn it off. At first everything will be pitch black, but slowly you'll start to see shapes forming (fear not, for they aren't demons!!!). After a few minutes you'll be able to partially see in the dark. You won't be able to see objects clealy as we did not evolve the ability to clearly see in the dark, but we did find a way around that (ie. artificial light). But that's all science and science is of THE DEBIL!!!!
6 and 7. See points 1 and 3.
8. Uh huh, you are aware we can eat fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, dairy products and some meats without cooking it?
9. They can, otherwise they wouldn't do anything.
10. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Can you say that a lion does not finds a plump, dead zebra an object of absolute beauty?

Next time you try taking on Evolution:
1. Have some sort of proper knowledge about it
2. Learn about the world around you

1. Evolution does not work that way. Our descendants did not fly and at no point in our evolutionary journey did the precursors to flight yield a distinct advantage for survival.

2. They do communicate. There are currently studies into the intricate nature and meanings of whale songs.

3. We do. In fact we may have a better internal echolocation system than bats. But because our vision is such a heightened sense it is rarely used. There is current research being done on this with the blind and deaf. There is at least one man who is a registered blind guide who is himself blind.

4. We do have fur. some of us more than others. In fact in general the peoples that come from colder climates tend to have more fur.

5. We can. Well, not complete dark, but vision doesn't work in complete darkness.

6. Our ears are not structured like a dogs ears. Most of our early predators did not make noises outside of our auditory range, thus their was no greater chance of survival from greater auditory range.

7. Pretty much the same as 6.

8. We can, but cooked meat yields more energy. In fact, because we cook our meat we are able to use less energy on digestion, which has enabled us to evolve larger brains. There is a current theory that learning to cook is the reason we became such highly intelligent beings.

9. They do. Although the thought capasity varies greatly among differing animals, there is clear evidence that animals have the capacity for thought. In fact some primates have shown evidence of intricate social interactions.

10. There is evidence of other apes admiring beauty in nature. Again this is a function of higher cognitive reasoning that most animals have not reached.

Most of what you listed is actually very easy to understand if one where to actually look into how evolution occurs, and many of your assertions more easily fit into an evolutionary scheme than undermine one.

7/12/2009 12:02:13 AM

1. Airplanes.
2. They do, just not in a way you can understand.
3. *ahem* RADAR, SONAR....
4. o_O?
5. Night-vision goggles.
6. There are devices for this, too.
7. Who'd want to smell like dog?
8. Sushi.
9. They do.
10. This has nothing to do with evolution at all.

7/12/2009 12:15:36 AM

4 and 8 used to be true... Why would we want to revert back to a more primitive state?

7/12/2009 12:23:51 AM

No if God was real and he made humans in a perfect image like you people claim he did we would be able to do all of that.

7/12/2009 12:27:47 AM

Thinking Allowed

1 People would be able to fly

That's why we have airplanes. Evolution has made it so humans have an intelligent capacity to invents things.

2 Animals would be able to talk

"Polly want a cracker"

3 People? would have radar like bats

Bats have "radar" because their nearly blind. As a result, they developed radar out of necessity.

4 People would have fur and not have to wear clothes

We do have fur. It's called body hair. It's just some people have more of it than others.

5 People would be able to see in the dark

See number one. That's what flashlights are for.

6 People would be able to hear like dogs

What use would it be to humans to hear a dog whistle? There is no need to have ultra-sensitive hearing for humans.

7 People would be able to smell like dogs

Again, why do we need ultra-sensitive smell to hunt food?

8 People would be able to eat their food without cooking it

Ever eat raw vegetables? How about sushi?

9 Animals would be able to think

We are animals. We think. All animals are capable of some thought processes, however humans in general have a much higher thought process than animals.

10 Animals would be able to recognize beauty

Animals have their own way of telling beauty within their own species. It's how they attract mates.

1 People would be able to fly
2 Animals would be able to talk like in Genesis
3 People would have SONAR like bats
4 People would have fig leaves and not have to wear clothes
5 People would be able to see in the dark
6 People would be able to hear like dogs
7 People would be able to smell at the level of dogs
8 People would be able to eat their food without cooking it
9 Animals would be able to think
10 Animals would be able to recognize beauty

7/12/2009 1:21:21 AM

As for #3, actually, we do.

We just never develop it.

Ben Underwood, a kid who's eyes were ruined by cancer during early childhood has developed his ears to such a degree that he can navigate and even ride a bicycle only using echolocation and throat clicks.

If Maximus Aurealius were able to understand evolution
he wouldn´t write stupid YouTube comments about it

7/12/2009 1:29:57 AM

My guess is this fellow smells like my dog with no nose.

7/12/2009 1:55:26 AM

Why did God create us humans as one of the weakest beings? No claws, no sharp teeth, not able to fly away from danger, no camoflage, not enough speed to flee danger, not enough of us (certainly at the time of creation/eviction from Eden) to have safety in numbers.

I'd love your answer to this.

7/12/2009 2:07:38 AM

"9 Animals would be able to think"
They can.

"10 Animals would be able to recognize beauty"
anecdotal evidence suggests some animals can do this.

7/12/2009 2:15:00 AM

Doctor Fishcake

9 Animals would be able to think

Please tell me you were just having an off day and you're really not that stupid.

7/12/2009 2:27:17 AM

I see people answered this kid's questions quite well.

7/12/2009 2:45:41 AM

Behold son, mighty triceratops.
Dad, it's a cow...
Well, it could be triceratops.

7/12/2009 2:50:38 AM

With regard to number 8, there's an interesting -- and plausible -- cause and effect that I've been grappling with myself, and it makes me curious:

Did our bodies lose the ability to tolerate some bacteria because we started cooking some foods, or did we start cooking some foods because our bodies lost the ability to tolerate some bacteria? I'd imagine that, either way, it became a snowball effect once we started cooking our foods. As a result, the fact that we need to cook our foods is a direct consequence of human evolution.

7/12/2009 3:15:48 AM

Human don't need to cook their food per se, but the ability to cook it provides a much greater range of food that they can safely consume.

7/12/2009 3:57:38 AM

What appalling ignorance.

7/12/2009 4:05:37 AM

People can do some of those things because we evolved and created technology.

7/12/2009 4:07:06 AM

<<8 People would be able to eat their food without cooking it>>

Like before the thing with the red hot stuff wich hurts like shit if you get your hands in it
