No ambiguity, no fake revelations, no third-party interpretations, no metaphors, and no prophecies. Just a simple declaration of intentions without intermediaries.

That human beings are animals is so obvious even the writers of the bible noticed.
Ecclesiastes 2:18-20 (KJV), "I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts. For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again."
It's interesting that the literal translation of Ecc.2:18 from the Greek and Latin reads "to see that they themselves are beasts", and the KJV (the fundies' favourite) copies that wording, but many modern translations including the New King James Version (NKJV) have added a word so that it now reads ""to see that they themselves are like beasts/animals".
What did the bible say about adding stuff to it? Oh, yes...
Proverbs 30:5-6, "Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Do not add to his words, or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar."
I've never understood how fundies can be such huge f**king hypocrites if they truly though God was watching.

Idiot. We are not better than animals. In some ways, we're worse. And I think most if not all animals can tell the difference between a male and female of their own species - they're not as stupid as you make them out to be.
But really, this entire quote is a pathetic attempt at defending a position Jon-Marc knows is untenable. It's weak even by the standards of dumb arguments against homosexuality.

Ever since the lie of evolution was brought into the picture, many believe we evolved from animals.
The only lie there is that we evolved from animals. We are still animals, we never stopped being animals.

Translation: People who don't believe what I do are stupid people who think they are monkeys.
Looking at animal behavior and trying to prove by that behavior that homosexuality is normal is quite a stretch.
No one is trying to prove that homosexuality is normal because of animal behavior, just simply that it's present in the animals kingdom and therefore is, by definition, natural, and not, as many of you claim, exclusively the behavior of people that hate god and just want to sin.

I doubt that there is a single homosexual in the world who "justifies" their sexual preference with references to animal behavior. In fact the only time that animal behavior comes into play is to refute homophobic claims that homosexuality is "unnatural" and not found in nature.
To use that example as proof is saying that they are as dumb as animals with no ability to think or reason for themselves.
If animals were "dumb" and "unable to think or reason for themselves" then they would have all died out a long time ago. If animals were unable to think or reason then how is it the can hunt for food? How is it that they can be trained to perform certain actions? Many, many different species are capable of communication with each other, and some are almost certainly self aware and capable of being taught to communicate across species lines.
Animals live and act by instinct alone
Some do, but by no means does that apply to all of them. It has been demonstrated time and time again that some animals are capable of some level of reasoning and decision making.

Give me a fucking break. Are you so stupid that you think that animals cannot tell the differences of gender in their own species? There are many, many different ways that animals can tell one another apart, their senses are heightened in some ways that ours are not, and many time they can simply tell gender just by scent. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean they can't, and to assume so is the height of arrogant ignorance.
Humans know the difference and sometimes choose to be with their own gender instead of the way God intended--one male with one female
So why are homosexuals attracted to members of the same sex? Attraction is not subject to the will. A gay person cannot "force" themselves to be attracted to a member of the opposite sex anymore than you can "force" yourself to be attracted to a member of the same sex. Attraction is hardwired at birth and therefore your "god" must have intended for them to be gay, or your "god" just plain doesn't exist and that is the way the world works.

Animals have feelings, intelligence, reasoning and free will, just as we have. We ARE no better than animals. We are no worse either. We are needed in Nature, just as any other now living species.
Hello, most animals have much more acute sense of smell than we dull humans have. They most definitely know whether the individual they are romancing is male or female, and whether he or she is in heat or not. How inane can you get?
Could you please lay off this drivel about homosexuals? They are not interesting enough to waste this amount of energy on. We in Sweden removed the disease mark for homosexuals in 1979. When will you catch up?
