[Thread: Muslims takeover my neighborhood - advice?]

If I were in your situation, I would probably move because I would not want myself or my family surrounded by islam, but I can understand why many people would rather stay put and tough it out. For one thing, there are doubtless going to be many opportunities to witness there. There is a growing muslim population in my area too and I see a lot of burkas, but it does not feel overwhelming yet. Though once an area starts approaching 10% of its population being muslim it starts to be a real issue because it attracts more of them and your city becomes a hub for islamic activity. That's what happened with hindus in my area. I moved into my neighborhood about ten years ago, and when some hindu families moved into the neighborhood across the street more and more moved there because they like to stick together. Pretty soon all of the other families moved away because they no longer felt welcome (indians can be surprisingly racist) and now it is almost 100% hindu. Then, last year they built a huge, awful hindu temple nearby because the population had grown enough to support one. With three mosques, that sounds like what might be happening to your area. I'll definitely be praying for you!

"For one thing, there are doubtless going to be many opportunities to witness there."

That's what muslims do when they move into a heathen area.

It is telling that there are plenty of posts on how to try to convert the Muslims to Christianity, but the one person who suggests to leave them alone gets banned.

What a bunch of bigots. Their first response to anyone different is "RUN!!", and their second response is "I must make them just like me, because I am right about everything!" It's disgusting.

It's funny how the only person talking sense in that thread (the atheist) was ignored and reprimanded.

"And Jesus did say unto His disciples, "Look, people who are different from us! I'm scared! Let's get the hell out of here and find some people who are just like us!"

So 10% is being surrounded?

"That's what happened with hindus in my area. I moved into my neighborhood about ten years ago, and when some hindu families moved into the neighborhood across the street more and more moved there because they like to stick together."

It's called human nature, moron. Christians like to 'stick together' as well. How else did the Native American land of America become a mostly Christian nation?

"Pretty soon all of the other families moved away because they no longer felt welcome (indians can be surprisingly racist) and now it is almost 100% hindu."
Lies - Indians are among the most tolerant ethnic groups in the world. Hindus are particularly tolerant because it's in their beliefs. The other families likely "no longer felt welcome" because they were prejudiced against the Hindus and wanted to be away from them. And, oh the irony, this statement about Indians being "surprisingly racist" is a racist comment itself.

"Then, last year they built a huge, awful hindu temple nearby because the population had grown enough to support one."

Never once has a Hindu referred to a Christian place of worship as a 'huge, awful christian church'. Hindus have always been tolerant of other religions. Show some respect and do the same. And why shouldn't they have a place of worship of their own? Wouldn't you want to build a church of your own if you lived in a Christian-minority area with a growing Christian population?

"With three mosques, that sounds like what might be happening to your area."

Again, if their population is growing, it's fair that they have their own place of worship. There's no need to criticize that.
