Throughout most of human history, faggery, lesbianism, bisexuality and transgenderism was rightly considered sick, abnormal and just plain wrong. The idea that these perversions are normal and right, is a relatively new invention.

YEAH! STONE THE OUTSIDER! STONE HIM!!
Clearly, faggery is a sign of where the Devil entered someone's body.
Ancient Greek/Romans.
Ancient Japan.
Even Ancient Egypt.
Now, come again?
1) Not always true, in some cultures and times it was ok
2) Ok it was true for a big portion of history......but a lot of things that were not normal back then are normal now
If by relatively new invention , you mean it's several thousand years old, then we agree. If you hint it is of this or last century making, you are a tool!

The ancient Greeks say hello.
I didn't know that the term "fag", which once referred to a piece of wood you would use to start a fire, would eventually be used to coin a conceptual term.
"faggery"? I'm no linguist, but surely "fagism" is more appropriate. Then again, since "fag" now means "gay" or "cigarette", we have perfectly good enough words: homosexuality, and er, no, I can't think of a word to describe the surrounding description of a cigarette.
Get a thesaurus.
Edit: "faggot" I meant, "fag" is slang, either way, quit with the derogatory terms, you "christian".
You don't know much about the Roman Empire or the Greeks?
The Roman empire, FYI, fell AFTER they decided to be Christian. Just a thought.
Except for ancient Greece and Rome, India (see "third gender"), China, the Pacific islands, all of Africa, North and South America...
Well, it turns out that in ancient times, it was only shunned in a small portion of the Middle East--namely Israel. You know, home of the Abrahamic religions.
And then Christianity came along, and GLBT's started getting burned at the stake. (Which, incidentally, is why sickos like RLV started calling them "faggots" in the first place.)

So I guess Ancient Rome (pre Christian at least), Ancient Greece (hell in some versions of The Iliad , Achilles had found a lover in Patroclus), and various other cultures homosexuality is okay.
Nope, in the greek (and partially also the roman) world bisexuality wasn´t unusual.
The Thebans even had a whole military unit that consisted only of gay couples (and was seen as one of the best units in the greek world). Only Megas Alexandros (who probably also was gay/bisexual), together with his father, was able to defeat the theban phalanx.
Well, to his discharge, he said "most of". Even though he should more hae said "during a significative part of human history".
On the other hand, slavery was not considered "sick, abnormal and just plain wrong" until recently. Abolitionnism is a relatively new invention.
To paraphrase(ie. murder) a certain poem
"Go tell the Spartans this, passer by
and watch as they beat you to a pulp, and you die."
Go ask Zeus and Ganimedes. And by the way, does it apply to sexism, racism and, wait, slavery?(let alone, Cannibalism or torture?)

At that moment, a horde of gay ancient Greek warriors invaded the Moonbattery forums and sodomized everything in its path!
Throughout most of human history, the earth was thought to be flat and the center of the universe. The idea of a heliocentric universe is a relatively new invention.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that as time goes on, people learn what is right and wrong. And concerning yourself with what other people do in their own bedrooms is wrong.
No..it is merely a fact that you only know revisionists history.
Lesbians are not gross or wrong..neither are gays and bis. Some tranny are quite beautiful.
You should also check into pre dark-age (i.e. pre-Christian controlled europe) about how other cultures openly accepted most of these groups.
Throughout most of human history, persecution of unbelievers, lynching, torture of unbelievers and homicide of opponents was rightly considered sick, abnormal and just plain wrong (except when it's done by fundies).
Problem solved. Truth hurts, JACKASS!
I'm guessing you failed to sign up for the Ancient Civilizations course at the local community college? Oh wait, I forgot, the definitions of tolerance and what's acceptable only begin and end when fundies say they do.
Socrates says hi, btw.
Actually, several ancient cultures such as the ancient Romans, accepted Homosexuality.
Also, until the 60's it was a "perversion" to marry someone of a different race than you.
This is bull. It wasn't until the bastardization of Christianity by Rome that Homosexuality was considered wrong. In ancient Egypt, Queens pretended to be men as a method of gaining power. In ancient Greece and Rome, sodomy, homosexuality, bisexuality, and lesbianism were frequently practiced (as well as a celebration of female sexuality I might add, though it's not relevant to this topic). There is substantial evidence supporting that many influential figures-- such as Alexander of Macedonia and King Louis XIV were sexually deviant. Not only this, but there is also some evidence supporting the fact that Jesus may have been attracted to other men. It is commonly known that Jesus never sinned. If this is true, then how can it be considered a sin for a man to love another man, or a woman to love another woman?

Indeed. Just ask Ted Faggard:

"a relatively new invention."
As was your birth, Refuter of Liberal Vermin. Therefore you should be eliminated.
"Clearly, faggery is a sign of where the Devil entered someone's body."
Only if the person and the devil are both male ;)
People also used to think that the sun revolved around the Earth, that the Earth was flat, that the Earth was held up by a giant turtle, etc etc. What exactly is your point?
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
