"It is very clever the way twilight is sneeking into our children."
Which is why I prefer anime/manga vampires. Example: Erofriede (in "Tsukuyomi - Moon Phase"):

(and as "TMP" appeared in 2004, a year before "Twiglet"; the manga before then, it could be said that Stephenie Meyer stole the idea of 'sparkly' vampires from Keitaro Arima/SHAFT)
"the HP books"
And such is "Harry Potter"'s influence, culture-wise, it's even reached anime:

(actually, just a dream-pic from "Kiddy Girl-and", the 2009 sequel to the 2002 Sci-Fi anime series "Kiddy Grade")
"where the parents sacrificed their children to the god of education ( importance of reading)."
Yep, just look how a single mother on welfare has introduced an entire generation - and beyond - to the joys of reading. And not just the Bible, neither. Now JK Rowling is one of the richest authors on the planet, and millions of kids are reading books - the most priceless commodity of all. Certainly thinking for themselves as a result.
Which includes no less than the First Children themselves, Sasha and Malia Obama; they're big "Harry Potter" fans.
Suck it, Ruptured Retards.
