Except that will never happen.

Fundie/English Translator:

Women are baby making factories and their place is in the home and as servants to their husband.

My favorite woman pastor is the one who has the personal integrity to admit that what she's doing is supporting a backwards religion that wants to keep people in the dark ages, and steps down from the pastorate.

And if the woman in question really does believe she was called to the ministry, and that it WASN'T a deceit from a demon? What do you plan to do then?

Caustic Gnostic

That wouldn't be the end of it...she'd move far away and ally herself with the Four Horsemen.

Lord of the Green Legos

Thats not gonna happen...

...John DEER Fan? Seriously? You don't even know how to spell the name of the company you're a fan of?

Oh, and you're a sexist asshole btw.

10/27/2009 7:47:47 PM

If they'd all step down maybe we'd be getting somewhere.

10/27/2009 7:52:29 PM

I agree, all women pastors (and even women parishioners) should step down from their roles in their churches and deconvert. Their religion hates them.

....and then runs out to get you a beer and make you a sammich.

10/27/2009 8:37:20 PM

...and that is precisely why I am reluctant to call myself a Christian. If I am not worthy to lead your church, I want no part of it.

In church and blows me

10/27/2009 10:03:45 PM

And these people wonder why everyone thinks fundamentalist Christianity is backwards and sexist.

10/27/2009 11:16:59 PM

Except he's right. That's what the Bible teaches. No ambiguity. Women pastors ARE going against their own religion in a massive dose of cognitive dissonance.

Of course this is proof that the Bible and the rules it generates are totally wrong.

That doesn't happen in real life.

10/28/2009 1:41:28 AM

Well, good luck with that.

My favorite redneck is the one that knows that there is supposed to be an "e" at the end of Deere when referring to John Deere products.

Mister Spak

My favorite christianist is the one who have the moral integrity to realise there is no god but allah and mohammed is his prophet.

10/28/2009 4:41:01 AM

I see. I guess then you do not like Joyce Meyer, Gloria Copeland, Rexella Van Impe (she's a hoot!) and the other female preachers who are so popular right now, huh?

So, then, when Mary Magdalene was at the tomb on the first Easter morning, and Jesus told her to go and spread the word that He had risen from the dead, making her the very first Christian pastor, she should have said "sorry, Lord, I've got a vagina and I'm not worthy. Go find Peter. I hear he's in hiding, but that shouldn't be a problem for you, what with that whole omnipotence thing."

The FBI is controlling your thoughts via your toaster

My favorite woman pastor is the woman who has the moral integrity to admit that what she's doing is nonsense, and steps down from the pastorate to become an atheist.

10/28/2009 6:03:05 AM

I am still wondering why any woman would take part in any sexist religion.

10/28/2009 6:07:34 AM

Or unpaulian, or untimothean.

10/28/2009 6:29:45 AM

Doubting Thomas

I put fundamentalist Christian women in the same boat as Jews for Jesus or Log Cabin Republicans. I'll never understand why anyone wants to be a part of a group that wants to persecute them.

Of course I'm sure women pastors are just cherry picking and conveniently overlooking the parts about women not opening their mouths in church or having positions of authority over a man.
