the Bible is the only eyewitness account of the creation and origin of life

BULLSHIT! Even if this was true, and it is patently NOT..then the Book of Genesis would not have two contradicting origin stories RIGHT NEXT to each other, yet it does.
Even the Catholics, who make up the majority of Christians on this planet, admit that it is not literal. They say it is a "poem" of creation. I say it is nothing more than myth.
I finally got first post! w00t!!!
OK, so let me get this straight, God created one person with a pen & piece of paper just before creating the entire universe, earth, sun & moon, animals, & Adam & Eve, just to write it all down as it happened? Or did God write it down as he did it? Then why did he write it in the third person?
Chronos disagrees
So do I
No it's not. The bible tells us exactly nothing about the universe or its creation. All the bible does is show that dishonest, ignorant people will make up any kind of crap when they don't have answers.
The bible - worthless bullshit for more than 2000 years.
Things I've learned from this post:
Books have eyes, can witness events, and actually exist before they were invented/created.
The Genesis account of creation is hearsay at best. Even assuming for one second god exists and created the universe as described in Genesis, he didn't write the account himself. Someone else wrote that it, supposedly after being told of it by god.
Either way, it's still horseshit.
My understanding of Genesis was humans were not exactly first. I think you need to reread that chapter or reteach yourself numbers because that was obvious to me and I haven't read the Bible completely in years.
Unless we are discussing God? If so, he seriously needs to sue for copyright infringement. He's been missing out on royalty checks for quite a while.
You're telling me that a BOOK, a sightless, inanimate object, is an eyewitness? Honey, that makes no damn sense.
No it isn't, there's thousands of them, at least one for every religion, and all as made up as the Bible.
Ive had a few christians tell me... that before Adam & Eve... or ANY humans were created for that matter by God... that God had made angels... to help him do his works and to bear witness to them. They told me that the angels came to God's chosen prophets (the ones who wrote the bible, and told Moses this as well) the account of the creation and beginning of the universe. Something about how if God appeared to tell them personally their mortal bodies would not be able to withstand his powerful voice and presence (reeks of Dogma... i know lol) so the angels were the ones recounting these tales.... (i am merely putting this in here to shed some light on some of your questions about this... not because i fully believe it myself... but it could make sense as to how there was SOMEONE or SOMETHING there as God was doing all this... to tell it to Gods chosen people later...)
So the eyewitness was around to watch the first ever life forms come into existence?
Um, you have no fucking idea how utterly stupid that sounds, do you?

@HazelHolly
Strange then, that Troll4Life does her goat-molesting in threads completely unrelated - certainly completely irrelevant - to her, but when there's one actually about what she herself has said, not so much as hide nor hair of her, to argue the toss? Exposing her own unjustifiable - certainly unprovable (ergo, unjustifiable) fundie bullshit. Funny that. And not in a 'Funny-ha-ha' way, neither.
What more proof does one need that she's nothing more than a bridge-dwelling goat-molester (but then, those who wrote her precious 'Word of God' were themselves nothing more than Bronze Age goatfuckers with ideas above their stations).
Who created the eyewitness?
Try reading Genesis, it contains two contradictory creation myths. These dumbfucks can't even make up a story consistently.
You seem to have issues with the definition of "eyewitness". Does the Bible have eyes, and, if it did, does it have a mouth to relay what it saw and a brain to make both of those things work?
Yet it's not. Even if I give you that Moses wrote Genesis and he was told this by God (but not God directing since the bible is clear that no one actually speaks to God Himself.) That is not an eyewitness account. That is a second maybe third hand account at best.
That's not counting all the revisions and translations where things could have been lost, added, or altered.
Confused?
