Quote# 69578

They claim to be more intelligent than we are,the truth is about 95% of scientists belive in that "evolution theory" and about the same percent is atheist or agnostic.That doesnt mean atheist are more intelligent than us.Anybody that is willing to spend eternity in hell, just for some theory is not that intelligent.I just wish it was like back in the old days where we could just scream infidel and they would be hung or burnt alive, specially those scientists.

The founding fathers messed everything up, with that freedom of religion, and the whole discrimination by creed.The reason they came up with it was because they were scared, being themselves non believers.

> What about those of us who are scientists, believe in evolution, and are Christian?

> Should we be hung or burnt alive or both?

If you believe in evolution you are not a true Christian.Evolution talks about natural selection and mutation by luck,it says God didnt create earth or maybe you are one of those who says God created everything and left it to its luck. And a scientist dont give me that you cant be a scientist and a Christian because scientists dont believe in faith and thats the only way to be a Christian believe everything in the Bible as it is, "nothing taken nothing added"

This one is so densely packed with fail, I'm tempted to just call a POE.

And they'll know we are Christians by our love...

P.S. You, and all other Creationists, are fucking morons.

Aparently you aren't intelligent enough to understand the wisdom of church-state seperation. Who knows, without it maybe your particular denomination would get "hung or burnt alive" as you say, just because one of its teachings is "heretical"

"I just wish it was like back in the old days where we could just scream infidel and they would be hung or burnt alive, specially those scientists."

And this is why the dark ages existed.

So much fail it's hard to figure out which novel to write first.

I actually find this to be a pleasant change from the usual fundy crap about the U.S. being a Christian nation".

I assume this massive tiramisu of bullshit is the result of home schooling and an extremely sheltered existence in a small town. A study on how people get these ideas could net someone a Ph.D

I'm tempted to call Poe. This is just too self-aware.

So, you are a Roman Catholic then, reading only the very first version of the Bible, in Greek, Latin and Hebrew? Every new version of Christianity, and every new version of the Bible, has taken something or added something.

Wasn't the founding fathers believers? Regardless, they had seen, or heard about, what a mess state religions were in the Old Countries in Europe, and wanted to make sure they didn't end up with the same mess in the New Country. And they succeeded, you ended up with your very own mess...

I just wish it was like back in the old days where we could just scream infidel and they would be hung or burnt alive, specially those scientists.

You know they still do that in places in the middle east.

This line screams Poe at me. Have you ever heard a fundie say that the Founding fathers actually meant what they wrote.

But it is always refreshing to be told what I believe.

Huh, edit button went away.

Anyway, I'm sure this is a Poe, what I mentioned above, the "burn them at the stake" comment others have pointed out, and I ran the name through Google and came up with this.

Italian term or phrase: penso quindi sono
English translation: I think, therefore I am

According to the Italian to English translator (I'm assuming it's actually Latin)
penso = think
quindi = then

@ Antichrist

The Latin version is 'cogito ergo sum' - literally 'I think therefore I am'.
