"we walk by faith"
Okay. If you think that you can continue on with your life without seeing reality, wear a blindfold and earphones connected to an MP3 player with the Bible audiobook loaded into such, and go about your usual business as normal. After all:
'Your eyes can deceive you, don't trust them'
-Obi-Wan Kenobi, "Star Wars"
"If God is perfect, his word is perfect. If the Bible is in fact his word left for us, it would have to be perfect also. If it isn't, it isn't God's word."
Thus your cultic self-hypnotic suggestion that prevents you from reading and/or listening to contrary evidence. And why your preacher tells you to read only selected passages from the Bible. He doesn't want you to read the entire Bible by yourself, cover to cover, does he? Why?:

Said preacher doesn't want you reading the entire thing* for yourself and discovering all those juicy contradictions & inconsistencies, eh? You'd start thinking for yourself, questioning him, and the so-called 'Word of God' and we can't be having that now,can we?!
"If the Bible is in fact his word left for us, it would have to be perfect also. If it isn't, it isn't God's word"
The above link exposes the fact that your so-called 'Word of God' isn't perfect, PaperPhantom. Therefore your so-called 'belief' and 'faith' is flawed. Ergo, Atheism. QED.
*- We Atheists have. Both the Old and New Testaments. We know the 'truth' of the Bible, oh yes. Thus is the reason why we're Atheists.
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing indeed.
