You’re not replying to my emails or posting them any more so I have to assume that you are trying to ignore me. This is grossly unfair as you have not allowed me to complete the discussion and left me sounding like a jerk.

I am not at all saying that rape is okay or allowed. My point is that it’s a topic like Hitler that people (atheists) always bring out in arguments for shock value when it really doesn’t fit their point. I admit that I have maybe a bias because I’m a man and frankly I have a hard time imagining that I’d be traumatized for life if a woman forced herself on me. Maybe it’s really different for women but you have to admit that on the surface it doesn’t make a lot of sense for something to be incredibly pleasurable if one person does it to you and horrible if another person does it to you. I admit I might be wrong but I still think it’s probably overblown. There are a lot of worse things (like abortion).

In addition I’m not advocating that God only punishes people who rape Christian women or only protects Christians. What my meaning is is that Christianity makes us strong and that a Christian can stand up to ANY kind of adversery better than a non-Christian because he has God’s strength behind him. You also must remember that God never gives us more of a trial than we can handle. If you have been raped and feel traumatized by it take comfort that God has not abandoned you and that He knows you can get through this.

First of all, abortion is NOT worse than rape. Fuck you for degrading every rape victim by saying that the trauma they went through wasn't as bad as an unwanted pregnancy being terminated. Fuck you for caring more about an unfeeling fetus than a thinking, feeling human being. Secondly, if you think that your god wants people to be raped, then you have one fucked up religion. A man can most certainly have sex with his wife without her permission. That's still rape. You probably also think that a man beating up a woman he isn't married to is wrong but a man beating up his wife isn't. It's the next logical conclusion. Also, do you understand that psychological effects of that kind of thing stay after it's happened? It is one of the most major violations of privacy and can leave the victim with the fear of it happening again. I was never a victim of that kind of threat, but you are SICK!

I was raped twenty years ago & I am still not mentally over it. The physical act was the least upsetting part for me. Mentally, I can not escape the painful memories, feeling unsafe, feeling violated mentally, being used, being unable to protect myself. Rape does a lot of mental damage. I'm glad you don't understand. If you understood, it would mean that you also were raped. Just try to have some compassion. It ruined a part of me. I have never been the same. Rape crushed part of my spirit.

For as long as he equates women to property (like cars), there is no hope for this person. Also, how the fuck does he seriously believe that rape is completely over after the act? Often, they have to worry about sexual diseases and pregnancy, along with serious emotional trauma from having your body forced to do things against your will.
