['Is it ok to lie for God']
yes. the main goal should be to save people from hell. this is accomplished when they accept Jesus as their savior, and that should be done any means necessary..

Does it ever strike these people how utterly irrational it is to attempt to coerce/force their beliefs on others based on something that *might* happen, yet there is absolutely no way of obtaining evidence for it, at all?
Comments like this are only one of the
reasons why I wouldn't trust a fundamentalist Christian with a rodent, let alone a human being. A lie
is a lie. If a religion needs to lie about itself, in order to trick people into believing in it, it isn't worth excrement. Why else would they fear telling the truth about their myth?
Now think what converted you , AngryNotice. Sure it wasn't another well meaning lie?
But of course there's the bible; a big book full of miracles that should convince you the Jesus is your saviour. Unless they're just more lies meant to do just that.
Ah but the bible is God's word, right? Or was that some good intentioned, ancient lie to convince a few unbelievers?
Come to think of it, what if God's been lying about this 'heaven' thing all along? After all, an 'enternal paradise' unconfirmably waiting for you in the afterlife in return for a lifetime of servitude? Sounds remarkably like a metaphysical 419 scam to me!

*roflmao*
Not trying to push your myth on others might be a good start, not bringing up the topic every single time you have the smallest inkling of an opportunity to do so, that would also help your cause.
People of today will not get fed up with your bantering and join you to get you to shut up. We are too used to all the commercials and infomercials and spams and sponsoring, we just tune out the things that bore us.
Wait, what would you need to lie about to make Jesus more appealing? Seriously, I'd love to know what else could possibly be said that isn't covered by the Jesus DID that because Jesus can DO anything. Nothing seems like a lie to these folks since everything is explained by the Bible.
What do these extra lies look like?
"this is accomplished when they accept Jesus as their savior, and that should be done any means necessary.."
Even by breaking the 9th Commandment, which, if you need reminding (and it seems with fundies, they need to be reminded on a regular basis - if they ever actually READ their Bible!) is:
Thou shalt not bear false witness.
So there you have it. Hypocrisy for Jesus. But then as I always say: Hypocrisy, thy name is Fundie.
tl;dr: say what you like, AngryNotice, you're going to HELL!
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
