Sorry, not enough minorities can even pass the ASVAB to break into even the enlisted ranks. Or, they are too busy selling drugs, tacos, or enrolling in community colleges to join.

Hubby was a recruiter who saw this for too many years. Also, many of our high school principals in these areas refuse to allow military recruiters in to sign them up.

The question that should be asked ...exactly how many women/minority types even WANT to serve, or believe in taking the oath required to serve? How many would provide the ultimate sacrifice if called upon? Do we really believe enough of these people even care about this country to that extent OR have the mental AND physical ability to serve?

A good many of them mock the patriotic principles that it takes ... many of them believe it is either beneath them, or that it’s just not “their cup of tea.”
