I think ‘a well-known strawman’ would be better. And i, for one, do not attck the church because of what someone wrote down in the Bible. Or for what the faithful believe is god’s demands on them.
WHat i do attack the church for is their political efforts to make the rest of us live by their faith, will-he/nill-he. Like Davey’s issue with women wearing pants, or Anglin’s issue with women breathing.

No. Feminists don’t want high divorce rates. They want lower marriage rates, or at least later marriages. They want women NOT to feel pressured to marry in a hurry, they don’t want women judged by married/single status. They want women to marry the right partners for the right reasons. Which would lower the divorce rates.
I mean, I married a grownup. Most of the couples i saw marry their high school sweethearts grew up and grew apart. A very high divorce rate.
