And about killing babies. God wanted the whole rtace killed off. They had mocked God by worshipping other God's, God is a jealousy God. He will not stand for people worshipping idols. And they attacked the isrealites God's chosen people. He is not gonig to let them be bullied.

The statement is true - such things are described and justified in the bible. Isaiah 13:16
Yeah, you gotta watch those babies. Take your eyes off 'em for a second, and the next thing you know, they're worshipping idols and attacking isrealites.

Yep. He's also an angry god and a prideful god. That makes three of the seven deadly sins. But I think we should cut Him some slack, after all, nobody's perfect!

Correction - he will not stand for "his" people worshiping idols, as I understand it. Nowhere does it say that there ARE no other gods, just that no others are worthy of being worshiped.

Ryan, you said "God is a jealousy God." I think that you meant "jelous." You see, the word you want to use is one describing the noun (God), which makes the word you want to use "jelous" an adjective (which describes nouns) not a "jelousy" (a noun).
