I've scoffed about people who don't believe in God by saying things like "Well I don't believe in fairies and trolls, or Lock Ness or any of those other things but I'm not waging a campaign to rid society of everything about them"

I honestly didn't know people still believe in them. I assumed (wrongly I realize now) that with the advances in technology that people were growing out of alot of superstitions.
