Um, no, this was an direct attack on homophobic policies in countries that receive American assistance, regardless of the religion thereof. Why should he fund a country whose laws intentionally harm people he's trying to protect in his own?
Muslim fundie: "Obama is attacking us with his pro-gay propaganda, filthy heathen that he is!"
Christian fundie: "Obama is attacking us with his pro-gay propaganda, filthy Muslim that he is!"
But pointing out to them that they sound oh so similar is just lost on them, I'd think.

It was only ever Christian fundies who believed this. They seem to think that everyone they hate is exactly the same; the idea that there are liberals and fundie Muslims who aren't the same people (let alone totally distinct groups which disagree on a great many issues) is beyond them. Muslim fundies are just as idiotic, but since Obama's beliefs don't line up with theirs either (since he's no fundie), they never think he's Muslim.
Also, I second the motion to send this to everyone claiming Obama is a radical Muslim. It sure seems like radical Muslims HATE HIM.

I haven't seen such racism in a long time. I am even more surprised that people here take exception to calling Obama a monkey and not the word kaffir which is about the most derogatory word for black people I know. (come to Africa as say that, see how long you last.)
Of course, what I find funniest about this is that this is probably directed more towards countries like Uganda which is trying to legislate homosexual discrimination. Of course Uganda is also a strongly christian country.
Think Ghazi might have used the word kaffir simply to mean disbeliever, have never heard arabs use that word in a racist manner.
Though monkey is still surprising, how can a person support islam and racism in the same sentence, we really need more muslim fundies on this site, if anything to show how similar they are to the christian fundies.
