As stated above, for an Individual to be a candidate for the office of president of the United States, the candidate must meet the qualifications set forth in the United States Constitution and one of those qualifications is that the Candidate shall be a "natural born citizen" of the United States. As Barack Hussein Obama II is of the "mulatto" race, his status of citizenship is founded upon the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Before the [purported] ratification of the Fourteenth Amendment, the race of "Negro" or "mulatto" had no standing to be citizens of the United States under the United States Constitution.

Note to all birthers: Hawaii became a state in 1959 . President Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961 . Therefore, he is an American citizen. No amount of your foot-stomping, whining, crying, shrieking, complaining, grousing, or lying is going to change that.
I'm pretty sure the 14th Amendment was ratified long before Obama was born.
Funny, though, how they're not even trying to not sound racist anymore. Since the "he wasn't born in this country" angle doesn't work any more, they've reverted to "He can't be president because he's a damn nigger" without realizing that it doesn't help their cause at all.
Funny how some people cannot figure out how time functions. While those labeled as such were denied the rights of citizenship under law prior to the 14th Amendment. The ratification of the 14th Amendment corrected this. Thus after the passage of the 14th Amendment had full standing to be considered citizens. And since the 14th Amendment hasn't been repealed, and we live in a universe that adheres to a linear progression of time, the argument Mr. Epperly makes is incorrect and has no basis in reality.
Got to give him credit though at least as a birther he can admit it is about race.
Is he implying that th 14th amendment wasn never ratified? That's the only way this can possibly make sense, unless he really does think that any law, no matter if and when superceded, changed, or repealed, ever, is valid.
He's implying that the ratification of the 14th was invalid, because the Confederate states didn't ratify it (even though they did, post-facto, as part of the requirements for being re-admitted to the Union).
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
This man is an idiot! What part of the Fourteenth Amendment does he not understand? And "mulatto" ceased to be a legal category at around the time Obama was born. You know, the Civil Rights Movement and all...

The 14th amendment was ratified before Obama became president. And your point is...?
@ Percy Q. Shunn
I thought Hawaii only became a full US State in 1976? I'm sure I remember a cermony of Hawaii becoming a state in 1976 and the US flag changing from 49 stars to 50.
What do I know? I live in the UK.
Why do these people try so hard to get Obama out of office, especially now since it's an election year?
If Obama gets removed from office, all that would happen is that Joe Biden becomes the POTUS.
Finally, even if it was purely out of spite for the Democratic Party, don't they realize it will make them look really bad?
I guess not. Angry extremists seem to have a keen way of shooting themselves in the foot.
Confused?
