This isn't even a shiny mirror. This is quite literally, word for word, what is often said of religious fundamentalists and anyone else who thinks their way of life should be forced on others, but somehow applied to a group of people that does nothing of the sort. This is the type of DARVO and self-delusion that crosses the line from dangerous to outright insanity, a fantasy world custom made for the abuser who wants to pretend they are the victim.
Take a good honest look at ALL your Religious Rights advocates, the Gingrachs, Santorums, Romneys and down to your Palins and Fox personalities. People who don't care about anyone but the rich promoting programs that are destroying private enterprise and the economy under the smokescreen of Family Values and Christian entitlement.
This is a response to his comments but all of America look at what these people are doing and advocating for. It's not worth that extra inch of influence you think you church is going to get.

Technically, the metaphor isn't really correct, anyway--it'd be better for someone to tell an adult about the bully, in this case the government. If the secularist left is too icky, just let the government know.

Demanding that the wall of separation of church and state be removed, insisting that anyone who doesn't tie into the narrow Christian view be demonized, deceiving others into thinking freedom of religion doesn't apply to anyone not Christian, and editing constitutions to make sure gays can't get legal benefits and atheists can't hold public office, it's just what they do.
