When I joined this...a long time ago...I never posted on the forums. I just have recently. I was surprised at the mass amounts of atheists on here. And you know what? I had no problem with it...until all of you just continually made fun of our faith and tried to prove us wrong with your giant egos and giant brains filled with knowledge that won't matter someday anyway. << "giant brains filled with knowledge"
I suppose someone feels stupid today. >>

The truly bizarre part is that April is so perversely proud of her ignorance.
I guess she is at least honest in that respect, which is more than I can say for many of the others quoted here.

Maybe the "mass amounts of atheists on here" comment is calling us fat? :-D
But seriously, the "giant brains filled with knowledge" comment reminded me of Futurama, especially, the episode "The Why of Fry", where the following exchange occurred:
Ken: "For a thousand years, the evil Brains have been constructing the Infosphere, a giant memory bank twice the size of three ordinary memory banks."
Fry: "What's so evil about that?"
Fiona: "They plan to collect all the information in the universe and store it in the sphere."
Fry: "So they're trying to learn things?"
Fiona: "Right."
Fry: "Those bastards!"
Nibbler: "Being Brains, they feel compelled to know everything. And soon they will."
Fry: "I'm as mad as I've ever been."
You know in a way, I'd like to join Myspace, but I don't have time for rutting against people who can't understand why the word Proctor-Silex is stencilled on their forehead.
Pot meet kettle.
It is little wonder to me that Athiests have such a hard time respecting you. If they don't agree with you, they're rude and ignorant.
Looks like it was a good idea not to resolve to get a whole idea out. It'd have been broken a few hours after new ear's. But hey, I'll keep trying in spite of it.
I followed that thread. The athiests were more civil than April and the Christian that started that thread. Although there ARE toxic idiots in the athiest community, they aren't any worse than the toxic idiots in the Christian one. It would appear, though, as long as someone agrees with her, she thinks they're kind and civil. If they disagree, they're rude and ignorant.
If I had to draw my conclusions from that thread, I'd say that it's the a bigger slice of believers who can't tell the difference with stating a difference of opinion and making fun of what people believe and trying to prove them wrong.
That's why it's called a discussion forum.
Ah never mind. :P
Sometimes people need to blow off steam, and you must admit some things in your religion are rediculous. These people probably were joking around. For the most part, atheists respect theists (and have theist freinds), just not necessarily some parts of their religion.
Confused?
