Follow the link everyone - it's hysterical!!!
The whole Seattle/LA dichotomy is like comparing 'Joey' to 'Frasier'.

Oh, come on! That's surely a teenager on a dare. (Although changing the lyrics of your national anthem to include 'home of the fuckin brave and whatever' has a certain ring to it).

i call troll (can you troll a newspaper? or is the seattle weekly a newspaper? i don't know.) i read the entire letter, and it's hilarious but:

i call troll!

We believe in free speech, but apparently we don't think others should be allowed to use it ...
And yes, the rest of it is pretty hysterical (in both senses of the word).

I concur with TammyFaye. I noticed the appropriate usage of \"pithy\", and the inconsistency between that and the general poor quality of writing in the rest of the letter, and I'm inclined to think this is either satire, trolling, or some other sort of joke.

The Seattle Weekly is an alternative paper -- it's not a newspaper like the Seattle Post-Intelligencer or the Seattle Times are newspapers. I think it's supposed to be \"funny\" and \"cool\", but I've never seen it that way.
The people that write to/for it seem to pride themselves on the fact that they get to swear!!! in their paper, which often seemed to replace actual thinking/reporting.

Patrick has me absolutely convinced with his water-tight argument. Whatever it is he's arguing for or against, I'm with him.
Er, sorry. I meant, I'M WITH HIM!!!!

Did he really just say that he beleive in free speech, and then, in the same breath, tell someone to shut up? What the hell?
