@ John of Oz.
Let me rephrase my chauffeur argument, into one of yours.
When you believe that people should only eat kosher meats, and you CHOOSE to work at mcDonalds, than I can expect you to serve me that bacon Cheeseburger (or even just a cheeseburger). Not because I feel like people cannot have the conviction that people can only eat kosher meats, but because I can expect someone at McDonalds to serve me that.
If the doctor did not want to supply birth control, than he should have chosen a different branch of medicine (like cardiology, pediatry, chirurgy), and not become a GP or Gyneacologist, because in those branches of medicine prescribing Birth Control will come up, and his customer can expect him to do his job.
Put in the analogy, he shouldn't have worked at McDonalds, but rather at a Kosher restaurant. When he applied at mcDonalds, he knew what was expected from him, and I can expect him to do his job. If he works at a Kosher restaurant I can expect him to do his job, but I cannot (and will not) expect him to serve me a bacon cheeseburger.
I don't have a say in what people will or will not do for money. But I can reasonably expect someone to do the job that I pay them to do. If expecting someone to do what is in their job description makes me evil scum, than that is what I am.
